  1. I'm pretty sure it looks like that because you don't have all the driver assist electronics on the windshield. Maybe someone with the same options as you can verify. I have the lane assist with the camera, automatic wipers, etc so I have a large area for electronics with a cover on them.
  2. You guys are right : hill start assist is automatic. Grade assist is activated with the button on the gearshift level. Both features are documented in the owner's manual! Grade assist (page 175): • Provides additional grade braking with a combination of engine motoring and high-voltage battery charging to help maintain vehicle speed when descending a grade. • As the vehicle determines the amount of engine motoring and high-voltage battery charging, you may notice the engine speed increasing and decreasing to help maintain your vehicle speed when descending a grade. • The grade assist lamp in the instrument cluster is illuminated. The grade assist lamp will appear in the instrument cluster when grade assist is turned on. HILL START ASSIST (page 176) The system makes it easier to pull away when your vehicle is on a slope without the need to use the parking brake. When the system is active, your vehicle will remain stationary on the slope for two to three seconds after you release the brake pedal. This allows you time to move your foot from the brake to the accelerator pedal. The brakes are released automatically once the engine has developed sufficient drive to prevent your vehicle from rolling down the slope. This is an advantage when pulling away on a slope, (for example from a car park ramp, traffic lights or when reversing uphill into a parking space). The system will activate automatically on any slope which can result in significant vehicle rollback.
  3. This question was just asked in this thread: -good info there :) http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/5809-the-scoop-on-job2-start-date-for-2013-fusion-hybrid-titanium-and-energi/?p=51137
  4. That sounds about right, and I would think the cool off period depends on how hot the battery is to begin with.
  5. The warm weather definitely helps!
  6. My 2 fill-ups were at 370 with about 20 miles DTE :-p Yellow low fuel warning came on.
  7. That's the Hill Assist. It'll prevent the car from rolling back when you start driving up on a hill. It also seems to help get more energy out of the car as it goes downhill and charges the battery faster. I don't have any big hills around here to really try it out.

Didn't really look at the instrument panel much this morning - I think I'm getting used to this machine :) Still not as good as others here, but don't even have 1k miles yet!
  9. I think there is finite space for imaged linked to posts to each user. Every time you upload a pic, the size decreases. I can't attach them anymore and use Google+ (w/ instant upload from my phone) to host my pics.
  10. And do it on 2 tanks of gas max :)
  11. That's a bug in SYNC ... check out this thread on BOF: http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/52773-mft-plays-albums-out-of-order/?hl=%2Bsync+%2Bplay+%2Border
  12. Hmm, I also noticed that Sirius only has traffic data for the major interstates (I- and US roads), as soon as I get off there's no traffic info - especially in the city. I really like Google Maps much better .... but it's not integrated. Too bad we can't have both.
  13. Are they charging you to put them on?
  14. So my front guards came in and I just installed them. I like the look, but I wonder if I really need the rear ones too... Thoughts?
  15. Did you see the pics that GrySql posted and I linked in the 2nd post? It shows the arrow on his FFH.

OK, this isn't fair. We need a video of this - and you need to start teaching hybrid driving to us ....

I think I'm getting old - I had to Google IIRC to see what it means ...
  18. Try a powered hub - do you have a 110V outlet to plug it in? Now we're adding a whole bunch of wires/cables to your car :-p
  19. I programmed mine (Homelink) and it worked great. Push the car and handheld opened buttons at the same time, hold until the car lights starts blinking slowly, keep holding until it blinks faster. Do to the actual opener, push the car opener button with-in 30 seconds. The opener lights will blink twice to let you know it's programmed.
  20. The 10 should have a hidden USB port in the center console. I've heard people use it and it works just like the one that's accessible. The '13 just puts both ports in the same spot. Did you try a USB hub? :)
  21. That you know of - insert evil laugh -
  22. The battery installed is correct - the manual is just listing the wrong one ... There have been reports of a some bad batteries, so replacing it should fix it.

    m,

    Brilliant! :yahoo:
  24. If the engine temp reaches the bottom white line, the car can go in EV mode. That's all it needs to go in EV, it doesn't have to warm up all the way to the middle to go in EV. So after the engine warmed up a little, it switched to EV and started draining the battery.
