Welcome Bryan! I'm surprised that you would go from a PHEV to a hybrid. Did you look at the Fusion Energi? The Fusion Energi can achieve the one-pedal driving you're looking for by shifting to L. In the hybrid this doesn't work. You can get an OBDII Bluetooth scanner and download FORScan to view individual tire pressures and all sorts of other data about the car. There is no way to just walk away & have the doors lock. Waldo's suggestion about the keypad is an excellent idea. This is what I do often. I agree! I wish we could have an Energi with the 40+ mile EV range like the Volt.

Works for me. That's how I found this topic ;)

If you read the recall notices posted online you'll see that there is no charge for recall repairs. TSB repairs are not free after the warranty expires. -
12v battery dead after two weeks (twice)
hybridbear replied to Tgederberg's topic in Batteries & Charging
It sounds like your 12V battery has been permanently damaged. Hopefully the dealer will replace it under warranty. -

Be very wary of warranties offered by other companies. -
Which wheels & tires do you have? The 18-inch Goodyear tires have higher rolling resistance and get 10-15% worse MPG than the standard 17-inch tires. Air conditioning also reduces MPG.

Texasota hit on the reason why I reset this one so often. In the Energi we use Trip 1 for each gas tank & Trip 2 is reset monthly to track monthly electricity, gas use & miles. In the Focus Electric we reset Trip 1 monthly & Trip 2 every 1000 miles when the odometer shows xx,000.

It's actually the opposite in the FFH, A/C keeps the ICE cooler. http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9689-road-trip-observations-with-torque-pro/page-2 -

4 yr/100km means you're only getting 1 additional year beyond the 3/36mi bumper-to-bumper warranty. That sounds like an awful lot of money for 12 additional months of warranty... Most dealers at least double the price of the warranty. I'd tell them that you want at least 40% off their standard price or you'll walk. At the marked up charges you may end up better off taking the money you would've spent on the warranty & investing it. Then you can use that money to pay for repairs as they come up, essentially self-insuring against future repair costs versus buying an insurance policy (the extended warranty). -
The first three are all the same MPG calculation. That calculation can be reset anytime. That is the display that I reset for each trip so that I can see how I'm doing for MPG or MPGe on each trip.

Only the 2013 has a Lifetime Summary which appears when shutting down the car.

2013 12 Volt Battery in a 2010?
hybridbear replied to Planecrazy361's topic in 2010-2012 Fusion Hybrid
Great info! Since many of us have never owned the 1st gen FFH it is hard for us to help with this info. The few who have owned the 1st gen are more knowledgeable in this case. -
2013 12 Volt Battery in a 2010?
hybridbear replied to Planecrazy361's topic in 2010-2012 Fusion Hybrid
I don't know if it's a problem to not preprogram the BCM, I just wanted to point out that step in the dealer battery replacement instructions. -
On the 2013s the Lifetime Summary appears alternating with the Trip Summary on the left dash screen immediately after shutting down the vehicle. Only the 2013s have this feature.

When we've traded relatively new cars in to the dealer we found that they didn't want to inspect it or even drive it before giving us money for the vehicle. They seem to just assume that a relatively new vehicle, like his, will be working correctly. This was the case when we traded in our 2006 Honda Accord Hybrid on the black FFH, when dumping the problem-ridden black FFH for the white one & when trading the white FFH for the Energi. None of the dealers even needed to see our cars before giving us a few thousand better than KBB value each time. In each case I negotiated the dealer up from their initial offer, on the white FFH by almost $5000, without them ever seeing the car.

2013 12 Volt Battery in a 2010?
hybridbear replied to Planecrazy361's topic in 2010-2012 Fusion Hybrid
The BCM (Body Control Module) tracks 12V battery type, CCA, age, temperature, charge level & other factors. When replacing the battery at the dealer, they are supposed to update the BCM with the stats about the new battery. They should also reset the battery age counter. If this is not done, it may cause confusion because the BCM will see unexpected results when attempting to charge the 12V battery. Only the Ford engineers who programmed the BCM know how it changes charging behavior based on these factors, so unfortunately we can't help you there. -

Have you checked your tire pressure? It's not uncommon for dealers to let air out of the tires. -
Do all the MY2014, 2015 & 2016s FFHs have the resonance chamber?

It appears that the car engages the rear pads first since the regen braking force comes from the front. There is a Ford patent describing this behavior. This would explain why rear brake pads get used up first.

hybridbear replied to CCalvinN's topic in Lounge - Fusion Hybrid Talk
I don't think that L has any practical benefit in the FFH other than using it to skip S0 of the warm up stages. In the Energi it engages near maximum regen braking so it is very useful. -
Loud noises coming from engine while idle
hybridbear replied to EVO-FUSION's topic in 2013-2016 Fusion Hybrid
The A/C is quite loud. We really can hear it in the Focus Electric & Fusion Energi since we are driving in EV mode all the time in the city. It's also very loud when we have remote started the car & the A/C is cooling it down on a hot day. -

This is true of the Energi, but not the hybrid. In the hybrid the ICE comes on if you shift to L, regardless of HVB charge.
