If your last update was 5AM in Atlanta, maybe the rail car arrived at the final stop sometime yesterday (Birmingham, Jackson, whatever) and going to be trucked from there? Your ETA says Jan 8th so looks like it is still on scheduled, don't you think?

Man I hope so!!!! I know this... it is about 8 hours from my door to Atlanta. I'm hoping it can get to my dealer within the next 3 days!!!

Coach ,put the nissan keys back on the hook and step away from the wall. Its not a good idea to escort your car to the dealer before delivery. The car carrier might think your trying to jack a new car! Just kidding!

I grossed out the sales manager when I recited my VIN and rail car numbers from entering them so many times into various software programs and phone pads. Said i'm the first guy he's known in 20 years in sales who had that info. on the tip of my tongue.

Ya, my sales person, who happened to be the dealer GM, said I knew more about the Fusion manufacturing process and delivery than any of his sales staff.

Update-11:00 am Slidell Louisiana!!!

About an hour away from dealer, think it might be ready to be picked up tomorrow?

My guess is that it will get to the railhead tonight, load onto a truck tomorrow, and get to your dealer as the truck makes its rounds on Tuesday.

My ETA of 12/17 went away even before the car was built. During rail travel there never was an ETA given bythe railroads. Once I got into tracking therailcar I didn't go back to cyberdman, until I sent a pic. and thanks.

Ok.. my bubble has officially been bursted.... Just spoke with salesman and he said that the car "may be in" tomorrow for ETA.. but he'd let me know.... *sigh*.. oh well.. I guess I can wait a little longer...

Mine arrived at the dealer one day after the ETA, for which the 'E' means 'Estimated' so other factors can come into play like maybe the trucking company had a scheduling issue, or the driver was involved in that food court fiasco in Baton Rouge, or who knows what else!

 

But if your car has made it as far as Slidell, you're looking at one day this week, just not sure which one I guess.

The anticipation is kinda fun.... good feeling knowing that this weekend I'll be able to go visiting (showing off) with it...

Hi,

 

I ordered my Ford Fusion Hybrid on Nov 11th 2012. The car shipped on Dec 12 2012 (at that time I was told I would have the car in a week to ten days) and than it was recalled back to the factory. I have had no information since, every week I receive a message saying the delivery date is TBD...(to be determined.) Does anyone have any idea what is going on? I spoke with customer service and they are of no help. She told me they do not even have a phone number with which to contact the factory to find out. All they can do is look at the weekly print outs and every week it is the same story.... :drop: they read TBD.

 

I was so excited to buy an American car and the Ford Fusion Hybrid looked awesome, since my original order I see news stories that Ford over estimated the gas mileage on the Ford Fusion Hybrid and now customer service cannot even give an estimated delivery date. I hope i did not make a $30,000 mistake.

 

Your thoughts ???
