Stang8URMPRT Report post Posted October 6, 2009 Mine had THREE HUGE dealer badges on it, below all three Hybrid emblems. They said to bring it back and they will take them off and detail the car again. I had a friend bring up fishing line while we waited on paper work and I took them off right infront of them and all their customers.

Darryl Bautista Report post Posted January 24, 2010 Well I did it. I drilled four holes into a brand new car. :headspin: To all of you out there looking to add a little touch to your FFH with a spoiler its easy to do with simple hand tools. First go to EBAY and order your spoiler with the paint code that you need. The guy I got mine from was only $110 including shipping. The quality is outstanding. I took it to the Ford Dealership to compare before I drilled four holes in my new car and I couldn't tell any differences. This is the guy I used on EBAY. auto-spoilers-and-trim I orderd it on a Saturday and recieved it on Friday. Now for the install, if you get the factory style spoiler all you need to do is drill four holes. Look under your trunk lid you will see four circle cut outs on the edge of the lid. Two on both sides. Simply take a punch and a hammer and punch a small dent in the center so your drill bit will stay in the center. Using a small bit drill the holes. Then enlarge them to 1/4 inch or slightly larger. I had to go a little larger for alignment reasons. Now apply anti-rust compound on the freshly drilled holes. Then you apply the two sticky foam pads to the spoiler. Then all you have to do is use the four screws with washers and tighten everything up. This is the finished results. That looks really good. I am not a fan of spoilers but that looks pretty sleek. Good job.
mxmastro Report post Posted February 1, 2010 Does adding the spoiler help keep your back-up camera clear? Mine gets caked with snow and blurred with rain all the time.
Tazzboo Report post Posted February 2, 2010 Does adding the spoiler help keep your back-up camera clear? Mine gets caked with snow and blurred with rain all the time. Nope can't say that it helps that out. Sorry. Its a looks only thing. Haven't noticed any difference in gas milage since adding the spoiler. Also no problems with the trunk shocks holding the lid open.
captspaulding Report post Posted February 4, 2010 Nice job Tazz, Now you gotta debadge that dealer logo "stick on" on the back there. I hate those. Easy enough to get off though. Luckily i took delivery of mine the moment it came off the truck, so there is no sticker...lol. I was so happy when i saw that :) The spoiler looks sharp! I have a feeling my wife wont let me get one put on...lol!
acdii Report post Posted February 4, 2010 I got mine through a different dealer than where I bought it from, so the stickers were removed by my dealer. They just use the plate frames for their name, since they look OK I left them on. I don't mind it being on the plate frame, but I cant stand having them on the car itself were they don't belong. Fuze-ion Report post Posted February 17, 2010 (edited) Guys, both of your cars look great, with the Spoilers. I really like the look. I guess Ford things that being "Green" doesn't go with Sportiness. I have been noticing the cars with spoilers. I actually like the 09's where there is no Space between the Spoiler and the Turnk Lid. Some Folks on here refer to them as a Lip Spoiler. Tazzboo: I live in Central Va too, I quess your car came from the RT 1 DealerShipn ear RT 10. Mine came from Bill Talley, I live near Byrd Airport. Actually the Dealership was Haley Ford on Jeffereson Davis HWY. Same place Oldschool1962 got his from too. Actually met him in person at the dealership one day while getting the Brake update done. Nice to know there are others in the area with Hybrids. Did you get the 502a with yours also? If you want to buy the spoiler off of ebay, I would be happy to help you install it. Simple to do. All of thirty minutes. Tazzboo
Blue Oval Report post Posted February 18, 2010 I agree with you, Fuze-ion, regarding the trunk mounted spoiler. I personally think the "Lip Spoiler" looks cleaner. I already located one on eBay and will eventually order it. It is made for the 2010 Ford Fusion and comes already painted, guaranteed to match any factory color desired. Supposedly it can be installed without any drilling. Besides the flush appearance of it, I especially like that it won't be dripping water from it after each car wash, requiring me to constantly dry the water marks. It costs around $155 plus shipping. It is sold by "Sportwing, Inc." and it can be ordered on eBay. (If you go on eBay you will also see that Sportwing offers other accessories for the Ford Fusion as well.) Below is a photo of the available spoiler mounted on a silver Fusion.
Fuze-ion Report post Posted February 18, 2010 Yes, that is the Spoiler I like the Best. Everyone has their own preference. I jsut think it looks good, plus it is easier to clean and wax around, since it doesn't have the air space below, like the 2010 Spoilers.Tazzboo, yes I have been to Haley, and looked around their inventory before, but have not dealt with them. I know a person that has bought two F-150's from them. Yes, it is nice to know there are other owners, of Hybrid Versions around the area. Thanks for the offer to help with Spoiler Installation, it is something I would like to do, but it will have to wait a while. My purchase was with just the 500. The only option purchased was the Remote Start. I have ordered the WeatherTech Floor mats. I have also ordered a Trunk Carpet Mat (Loyd's Berber). I am thinking about getting the windows tinted, so the wife is yelling at me to STOP. I also want to get the Molded splash gaurds from Ford, or whoever makes them for the Hyrbid version. ctrcbob Report post Posted March 7, 2010 Today, I spotted a BEAUTIFUL Pearl White FFH with this same spoiler. That car looked FANTASTIC. Took my wife to look at FFH's today, just to see if she likes the looks of the car and size. (she likes it). My local dealer only has base FFH's, but the "One Price Dealer" about 14 miles from me has three with the Navi unit, and one of them is Pearl White. :headspin:
MarcD Report post Posted March 20, 2010 (edited) Nice job Tazz, Now you gotta debadge that dealer logo "stick on" on the back there. I hate those. Easy enough to get off though. I was looking at doing that as well (removing the "stick on"). But the question is how? Is there a trick to doing it? <edit> I didn't realize there were other pages explaining ways to remove those stickers. Hairdryer, dental floss, fishing line??? Is this something you SHOULDN'T attempt if you don't know what you're doing? Thanks in advance. P.S. I also love the look at the spoiler...
