  1. Sure can I did one on my Fusion Hybrid. Simply go on Ebay and find one you like in the color you want pre painted. Mine was like $110.00 painted and delivered. Then you simply drill four holes that are already marked for you on the bottom side of the trunk lid. Bolt it on and your set. Here is a search of the topic for you that I found with severl pictures in it for you to view. Didn't know if you could search or not but here is the link to it. http://www.fordfusionforum.com/index.php?/topic/2492-fusion-sport-spoiler-install-on-hybrid-gorgeous/page__st__40__p__23451__hl__spoiler__fromsearch__1#entry23451 Any other questions just ask. 2. From what I have gathered. It was a change that they did on the fly to the new models/builds/jobs. I have a earlier build and mine does not have the altitude on it. However Oldschool did and his was a little newer than mine. If you find it it will be on the information tab under there. But I could be wrong on that to since I don't have it on mine. Oldschool were is it again? Tazzboo :shift:
  3. Took my car into day for the same fault. Driver side bliss fault. Well they took a look at it and came up with a fault code for the Driver Side Mirror. Apperently this is a common problem and a new mirror has been produced however, they are on back order. This tells me that a bunch of people are having the same problem. I will let you know what happens when the mirror comes in sometime mid May. Ours was failing about 70 to 80% of the time we drove it. Very Very anoying to me. Finnaly broke down and took it in. :)
  4. Coming from a person that has Personally met Oldschool1962, I do not feel in any way that he is a Drama Queen. I belive he has a personal investment in getting his car fixed/replaced. He is from all the readings that I have read about his problems very much frustrated. When people are frustrated they are looking for others to listen to them and to share their problems with. Also they look for people to help maybe with a suggestioin that might enable them to move forward. This is were the web and this site thrive. Oldschool1962 stand your ground with the dealership. I know you and I have talked a few times in the past. You have a valid concern and valid points. Keep plugging away buddy. I would also place this question out in the main area. Like the poster above mentioned your limiting yourself on the number of people that might see the question in this section. The FFH is pretty new and I am sure your probably the first to be going through this with this car. Maybe others out there have experienced it with other models that could help you. Posting in a more general section could be more adventatious for you to get answers. Good Luck Tazzboo
  5. The version labeled on on the disk said version C1. The question I had was when I went to get the key from the web site they said I had a key for version C2. Thats why I had called and asked what gives. They assured me that when I put it in the drive and saw version 2.0x I indeed had the most current version. The version that was listed on the GPS when I put it in the drive said 2.0X. I had Version 1.0X before. The Gracenotes are on a Second disk yes Howie. It updated them to version 1238. I belive I had something like version 1049 before the update. Howie I agree with you on the price. It's an OUCH. I purchased our car back in September so I didn't have as much pull for a fight to get it for free. Tazzboo
  6. Howie411 I am sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Well I finally got an answer to the updates for the GPS. Its just like another poster posted earlier you simply purchase the two DVD's and install it yourself. Now the kicker here for me was I payed $330 dollars and some change for said two disk. It took about a week for the disk to come in. Once the disk came in I had a question about the version label that was listed on the disk. Well I was informed by NavTeq that I did indeed have the latest version. I went over with him the troubles that I had about getting the disk and etc. The guy said why did you do that you could have just gotten them from us. For $199 dollars. I said how, as of last week I couldn't and that I had spoken to his company directly. He said let me put you on hold. He came back and said that as of that Monday they were allowed to sell the disk directly to us. I was like now you tell me after I paid $330 dollars for them. I double checked and tripled checked with him, he assured me he was correct. I said well you can't get them through the listing on the web site. He said he would get with IT and have that fixed. So for all of you looking for the update CALL NAVTEQ directly and ask. It's a heck of a lot cheaper than going through FORD. Tazzboo
  7. Oldschool1962 I have to agree with you. Jim the service manager at Haley is awesome. He has also gone out of his way to help me. WAY out of his way. It's one of the reasons I bought from that dealership. Three cheers to Haley and their staff.
  8. Actually the Dealership was Haley Ford on Jeffereson Davis HWY. Same place Oldschool1962 got his from too. Actually met him in person at the dealership one day while getting the Brake update done. Nice to know there are others in the area with Hybrids. Did you get the 502a with yours also? If you want to buy the spoiler off of ebay, I would be happy to help you install it. Simple to do. All of thirty minutes. Tazzboo
  9. I just called FIVE dealers in my area and none of them had a clue on how to update the nav system. So with that I called back to Ford Customer service and spoke to the nice lady that got me started with a part number. I told her that apperently the word hasn't gotten out on how to update the nav. Case in point calling five dealers with none of them having a clue on how to update the units. I asked her if she was in my position what would she do? She forwarded me on to Customer Relations Person by the name of Becky. Well Becky couldn't belive the lack of knowledge by the dealer either. She told me she was going to call my dealer directly and speak with them about how to update the nav. She could not however tell me over the phone. Has to go through Dealer. BUMMER On another note. I was able to get a little info on Pricing. Maybe this will help others out there maybe not. They told me there is three pricing points for the update disk. These pricing points were as follows for this part number AA5Z10E987A : LP$330.00 JVR$231.00 WD$194.00 What does the letters mean, I have no clue nor did the lady that told me. The only other info I could get out of them was that it would take three hours to update the unit. WOW. She still couldn't tell me if I could do the update with the part or if it had to be done by the dealer. They just wouldn't let that out of the bag. Knowledge is Power guys hope this helps others out there. Tazzboo
  10. Howie411 I love it. Feel free to add me to your letters as a person of concern to this problem. I went so far as today telling my dealerships Service manager that hey you guys look like you have EGG on your face. I mean they can't even get answers to the questions from Ford on the update. The only thing they see on their parts order book is a $800 dollar disk. This disk being a Shop disk. However, they have no clue to what the disk updates nor do they know how to update the car. I give Ford Credit for building a nice car. But I give them an F for training and support of their dealerships on the technology they are putting in their cars. The one Hybrid tech service guy they have, told me that as far as the info on the Sync stuff they are given the same info we are given in our owners manual. Well as you know parts of the manual are pretty vague. I have found several mistakes in it to so far. Please Keep me in the loop and I will do the same for you. Tazzboo
  11. Well I have been working on this very problem my self. My Fusion was built on July 2009. I have the map data base 1.0x. I was talking to another Fusion owner and his maps are listed as 2.0x. I asked the dealership how do you get the new map update. Well they didn't know. So a day or two went by they told me to contact the number 1-888-NAVMAPS. Well that was a joke. All they said was that yes indeed there is an update that came out in November but its up to Ford to distirbute the update. She told me that they have nothing to do with it. MORE RUN around. So I called the dealership back they were baffeled on it. Ford told them that number and now they are not sure what to do. If anybody comes up with a solution let me know, so I can fill in my Dealer. If I come up with something I promise to let all of you know. I am still trying to figure out how the update is done. Do we buy a disk and load it to the hard drive or is it done through the USB port. What about the dealer having to do it through a module upgrade port. No clue and the dealer has no info either. They are really frustrated themselves with FORD and there lack of knowledge/answers. Tazzboo
  12. Sorry everybody. It took me way longer than I was expecting to get to this. Pictures that is of the remote garage door opener placed in the door pocket. Hope this helps some of you out there with another option for not having the Homelink. Tazzboo
  13. Howie411 I agree Ford dropped the ball on this one. The car has just about everything in it with the 502a package but that. Why did they leave it out, I don't know. What I did was really easy and it works great. I took the remote that came with my garage door opener. You know the ugly thing that attaches to the visor. Well I took that and removed the back clip off of mine and attached a piece of velcro to it. Then on the driver side door pocket just behind the cup holder I attached the other piece of velcro. This one on the inside of the pocket closer to the seat. You can barely see it in the pocket because there is a little lip at the top of the pocket. Now all I do is slip my hand down beside the seat and push the button when I need to go in or out of the garage. Works wonders and it didn't cost anything but a small peice of velcro. Well that was a left over for me from another project. No ugly thing on the visor anymore that falls down. I can take pictures of it if you like. Let me know. I tried putting it in the coin holder slot but that was a pain to open the draw and close it every time. Plus my remote didn't fit just right in there either. TAZZBOO
  14. Oldschool I'm sorry to hear your still having problems with your ride. Yes indeed my car was DX from a northern VA Dealership. It had almost 1300 miles on it when I got it. We wanted a Silver car with the Black leather Interior with the 502a package. I did indeed test drive your car while it was at Sheehy at least I am almost certain I did. When test driving the car I did not experience the problems that you are explaining. However, I was a newb when it comes to the car and all the bells and whistles got the best of us. We were drooling! :car: Now as far as our car we do have to wait a bit for the car to warm up for the regen to start working. Now the brakes to me feel the same with or with out the regen circle display coming on. I have not noticed any difference in the before and after driving feelings of car since the update. Now I am pretty particular with my cars. Being a Pilot you grow accustom to being overly sensitive to things that you are operating. My wife drove the car this morning 25 miles to work and didn't mention any differences in the car either. Above you quoted me, I just want to show were I got my information from about Ford using there own technology in this car that they came up with. http://green.autoblog.com/2009/06/03/ford-fusion-hybrid-the-most-patented-car-in-history/ http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/05/editorial-attention-i-wall-street-journal-i-ford-does-b-n/ Check it out pretty interesting write ups. 15. Oldschool pick yourself up a cheap USB small laptop size portable hard drive. Then load all that music up on there so in the future like you said you don't loose all of that hard work. One little Tib Bit though. Make sure the hard drive is formated FAT32. Any other format type will not work. Just a little FYI Nice meeting you today. Glad to here things are looking up for now on your car. Tazzboo
