  1. Have you been to Ford Fusion Club? I think there are more people there into modding. Good luck!
  2. What are they telling you? :hysterical2: Sorry... See here.
  3. Well, I don't have direct experience on this matter, but I'll give my input, seeing as no one else has jumped in yet. I saw another post here of someone with a 2010 S, and it does have a 'Sirius' button, but Sirius is not functional in the car. (Pretty stupid. Why not at least leave it blank? Maybe for situations like this?) So if you already haven't, you should verify if your '09 has this or not. If it does, this statement from your link says it would be compatible: "THIS KIT WORK ON THE CENTER STACK AUDIO SYSTEM IN 2008-Up ESCAPE, MARINER, FOCUS, AND ALL CENTER STACK RADIOS WITH SAT/SIRIUS BUTTON." Sorry I don't know if the '09 has the button or not. Just to throw my 2 cents in, I have Sirius, which I thought was the bomb(Though you hear some complain that the sound quality is bad. With 20 years on an airport ramp, I guess I don't notice...), but recently, my wife got a DroidX smart-phone, and we installed Pandora internet radio, and now I'm jealous! If your wife has a smart-phone that's Pandora capable, I'd go with that, unless you're looking to get something other than just the music from Sirius. Good luck!
  4. Hmm, I knew my fogs were aimed WAY too low, but 99.9% of my driving is on well lit highways when I drive at night, so I never thought they were too bad. I'll have to look into the aiming. Thanks for the info.
  5. You could experiment some. I think there are 3 sensors. One in the front, sensing ambient light, and the 2 on the back, which I'm not sure exactly what they are sensing. Maybe it's just logic, like if it's dark in front, and light in back, it will dim. Whatever, could guess at this forever. Maybe if you tape something dark over the 2 rear sensors it won't dim.
  6. Unless the hybrid has something different, I don't think anything lights. (I have a 2010 SE) I had a similar problem early on, and was describing it to my buddies while riding in the car, then one of them pushed the center headrest down (It was all the way up when I got it, and didn't notice) and now it works good. I guess it was enough to block the sensors from 'seeing' the lights from behind. Something to check, at least.
  7. Have you had this done? I thought the electronics weren't in the radio for this.
  8. Sorry Fusioner. I'd be happy to help, but I'm not a big fan of converting to HID so I don't know enough about it to give any advice. I see people who have problems getting their HID headlights to work, and I get blinded by too many people who've done it, and don't want to join them.
  9. Sorry I don't know all the details, but I'll try to help. On the 2010 Fusion, the mic is on the front side (as in, the front of the car, away from the driver, go figure) of the rearview mirror. Maybe check the wiring to the mirror or see if it's been replaced or something. I've heard of an update or something that moves the mic over the driver in the headliner somewhere. Don't know if it became standard in later build versions. Well, somewhere to start.... Good luck.
  10. Did you go to Edmunds.com and try the 'Appraise your car' feature, in the Used Car section? Should be helpful. Edit: Actually, use this link. It's much easier to use. Good luck!
  11. Dang! Where's that popcorn eating smiley????? I'll just use :waiting: for now...
  12. Ah, thx for digging this one up. I wanted to add that the Rainx Lattitudes, ummm, sucked... Got O'Rielly no-name blades and they worked great. Only now, months later, are they giving out and starting to streak, which reminds me, I have to go out and wipe them off to see if it helps.
  13. Then it sounds like you are looking for DRL. Autolamps turn on your lights when it's dark, so they won't come on during the day. DRLs make the lowbeam headlamps come on at 1/2 voltage whenever the transmission is out of park.
  14. Are you looking to add DRL, or is it something else? I'd be careful with rewiring the switch, as I guess all the lights (and who knows what else) run through the smart junction box. Probably need someone more educated on this subject. I'm just putting in my 2 cents worth.
  15. Well, I was shooting from the hip. I saw 'CSV file' in your description, which I think is one used in Garmin GPS's, so I assumed it's for nav eqiupped cars, but I should know better than assumming. You're probably deeper into the Sync functions than I am, since mine hasn't had issues other than what I described, so I haven't messed with it much.
  16. Of course, this only works with the cars with nav. I find when I have connecting problems, turning the phone off then back on corrects the issue. Also, I think it has something to do with the timing of the phone connecting, or even during your aforementioned phonebook downloading, and the car starting. So I either start the car quickly once the key goes to on, or wait a long time to give the pairing a chance to complete before starting. Maybe I'm way off base, but it seems if I keep to those rules I have no connecting problems.
  17. Sorry. I was at work, and at my work computer the 'add link' dialog ran off the left side ofthe screen and wouldn't let me move it, so I was flying blind... :waiting: Here it is again. It's just a link to a topic here.
  18. My linkHere's a link to a thread on this recall. I think the # is in post #13. I guess it's something about improper gear meshing in some pax seats, so maybe it could cause a rattle?
  19. I turned off that feature on my 2010 using the process in the owners manual. Did you check in there?
  20. Oh man! I'd like to bitch-slap that 'empoyee'. That's what they tell you when the don't want to be bothered with something. It's not normal. Don't bother test driving another 2010. I have over 20k miles on my 2010 and no rattles. Either the seat or tracks or something is not adjusted right, or there is something wrong with the seat itself or something else. Maybe they don't have a tech at that dealership who really knows what the heck they are doing with this part of the car. Is there another dealer nearby you could try? If it stops while you push on the seat, can you wiggle it gently back and forth and see if it's the whole seat or just the seatback that does it? That could go a long way to solving your problem if you could isolate it. There was a recall which I believe was for something with the passenger seat recline hinges on some VINs.
  21. 2009 & earlier, or 2010 & later? Makes a difference. 2010+, headlight bulb chage is right in the owners manual. You don't have to remove the whole bumper. As for the fogs, just remove as many bolts as necessary to access through the plastic shroud under the front of the car. Easy if on a lift. Don't know about the 2009 & earlier.
  22. When I first got my Fusion, I hated the auto-dimming mirror because it just was hardly dimming. Then one day I was the driver when some coworkers and I went out for lunch. I mentioned it, and one of the guys in the backseat pushes the center headrest all the way down and says to try that. Worked fine (pretty much) ever since...
  23. LOL! Slight engineering slip-up! And I think I saw thw FFH rear seat backs don't fold down? Oops... Although I guess, how often do you really have to totally remove your headrests?
