  1. The tires to me would be worthless. I would only be interested in the wheels so I could use them for winter snows. Can you send or post a few pics? Where are you located/ What State? Im in NJ
  2. let me know if you want to sell those wheels.
  3. It's probably "cocaine" residue from Mexico. Maybe that's a new way to sneak it into the USA past the border guards by spreading it around the dashboard of your new Ford Fusion. if you catch anyone snorting off your dash, then that's probably it. Be careful about mixing it with armor-all though as that could be hazardous to someones life. This could also be a part of Ford's new marketing plan to "hook you" on their new cars but be forewarned that replacement powder coated dash boards will be quite pricey at your local dealership, although white seems to be the prevailing "asked for" color. . . . . . . . . (Disclaimer: For those of you who don't recognize it, this post was entirely fictional and no reference to persons alive or dead were intended. It was meant as levity or humor although we do understand that some are not capable of recognizing this on their own accord. Thank you.)
  4. I'm sooooo freakin' confused now. Seriously..... What wheels will work etc? I want wheels for snow tires but am confused what I need to look for when shopping.. Glad I have allot of time before I must commit... When I shop for wheels for a 2010 FF, what do I need to ask or look for?? Can anyone explaint that to me? I want 18" wheels.
  5. Can't any of you guys post some good quality photos? I never see any on the road, none!
  6. I remember a friend of mine with a 70's something Trans Am Pontiac that he shut off in neutral while in a car wash. Damn near had to have the car towed because it was all locked up. Couldn't move the shifter, couldn't restart the car and couldn't even remove the key either. If I recall, there was something that had to be done to the shifter to over-ride the lock to get it back into Park. The car wash was not amused as it tied up their only lane for quite some time... Ahhhhhh the good ol' days!
  7. Does anyone have any idea what the stock 2010 Fusion Sport 18" wheels would cost if I wanted to purchase a set of four? I really like the stock Sport wheels and they've GOT to be less expensive then the Chromed Accessory Wheels, right? If they are reasonable, I might consider a set of four instead of alloy aftermarket wheels. Also, will the wheels include the TPMS devices for the price? (If you know?) -
  8. Man I would hope so too. I certainly would take it up with your Dealer and try like heck, that's for sure. Let us know how it turns out.
  9. When you burned your CDs there was probably a check off box that you missed to show the artist, song name etc. Go back to where you store your music on your computer and reburn them but look for those check off boxes. I am sure that's your problem. That is unless your music didnt have any of that info when you put it into your computer. Check that out and post again what you find.
  10. Exactly! See! Even Canadians get it!! :hysterical2: (Disclaimer: The above was intended as humor not to be taken SIRIUS-LY!)
  11. Attacks?? I don't see any attacks? He expressed his opinion of why he likes Sirius and I countered with reasons (my opinion) of why I wouldn't like Sirius. Aren't we both entitled to express our opinions? Why do you perceive that as attacks on someone? I consider it as a discussion and don't feel I personally attacked anyone. I guess in your opinion then if you don't agree with the status quo, that you are attacking someone. Hey, you too are entitled to your opinion too and that's fine. (I have to like Howard Stern just because Deathlok or you do???) Deathlok, did you consider my response a "personal attack" against you? mlwavernr, if you're "tired" of reading responses, then don't bother to read. its that simple. No one is forcing you to open any thread and read it much less reply. I guess if things don't go your way you are not a happy camper .
  12. Plus you mentioned Howard Stern and sidekick Robin. (Anything that puts a dime in his pocket won't get a nickel from me!) See, now there's four pure trash reasons right there not to subscribe to this garbage. And ohh yea, the CFL games too since you mentioned it..
  13. I plan to definitely "try the trial" free period and will judge if it's worth keeping or not. I can tell you I have two daughters both in their early 20s with 1-2 year old cars purchased new and neither one of them continued past the free trial period. That says allot to me. I myself do travel allot though so I am looking forward to checking it out but have a feeling that I too will not subscribe. I am confident that I will have NuLink though in my car.
  14. Instead of being loaded on DVDs, the data is likely loaded directly onto the huge "hard drive" and permanently stored there. I am fairly confident that is correct.
  15. Garmin has a new service called NuLink that gives traffic, weather, movies, gas prices, flight status and more and the cost is only $5 a month. Right now it is only available with their newest Garmin GPS the 1690 but will become the standard for all newly released models. Best part is if you buy the 1690, it comes with NuLink for 2 Free Years which is not a bad deal. I myself will likely upgrade my older Garmin to one of these when I get my new car, if not sooner. http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/cache/off...648C0383CB801ED By the way, Sirius is "active" in all dealer cars because they want to show you how and what it sounds like. It's all part of Siriuses marketing plan. Same thing with the 6 free months once you buy the car. Their motto is "give em' a taste for free and they'll come back for more" That's how they hook you into becomming a regular subscriber.
  16. And no complaints?? Cool! Good to hear. I am likely to deal with them also except I'll have to get things mounted at home here since I am swapping wheels and tires twice, putting new rims with my stock tires and the old rims getting new snow performance tires. (If I go that route as I may just keep the stockers intact and buy snows as a completed package - depends if I like the stock wheels or not when I get the car.)
  17. I have not ruled anything out except paying a high price over my desired budget. I'd really like to stay south of $300 a wheel. I like the "look" of the stock wheels that come on the FF Sport model as they have "wider" spokes then what you selected for your Fusion. I also want something that is easy to clean and hit with a sponge when washing the car, not something filled with nooks and crannys or stud heads etc that will trap and hold dirt. You also provided good input so thanks. How hard was it to get your car to recognize the pressure sensors on your new wheels? Did Tire rack do a good job with mounting and balancing etc? (Or did you buy the wheels loose?). Did you put the door molding on yourself? I'm liking the left wheel in the bottom row the more I look at it. I don't remember who makes it though.
  18. Excellent point! Thanks! I have heard some bad things about "Bremmer Kraft "wheels, supposedly made in China and poor mfg tolerances etc. That's what I want to watch out for too. I'll probably buy my wheels from an on line discounter like Tire Rack only because those so called knowledgeable retailers also have higher prices too. I won't rule out alloy or aluminum wheels just yet either. The 6 I posted above have caught my eye.
  19. Thinking of changing over to a set of aftermarket 18" wheels (likely chromed) once I get my car and then using the stock 18" appearance wheels for snow performance tires. What brands of aftermarket wheels are good? Which are to be avoided? (poor experience or poor mfg. tolerances etc.) Looking in the $200-$350 price range per wheel and there's allot to choose from in that range. Thoughts? Opinions?? Photos??? --------------------------------------
  20. Rodeo

    Vent shades

I would avoid the Weathertechs. I have them on my Escape and besides not being smoke colored enough are not great quality but they are at a premium price. Anyway, I wouldn't buy that brand again ever. For floor mats or floor liners yes, but for vent visors no. Remember too that adding vent visors will likely create some wind noice and turbulence that you may hear. Plus my wife says that vent visors are definitely Sr. citizen. I don't know if I myself will get them for my new planned Fusion but it is nice to leave the windows cracked in the summer without worrying about rain.
  21. Is this what you're looking for? http://www.xmradio.com/whatisxm/plans-pricing.xmc
  22. Tire Rack shows 5-7 options as far as 18" Performance Snow tires, Michellin Alpin etc. One of those should suffice I guess. The more I think about this idea, the more I like it.
  23. Good luck with that one. But congrats on the new car!
  24. Except my stock wheels will be 18s already as I'm buying the Appearance package to get the sport handling suspension. So, it's likely I will use those existing stock 18" wheels for my new snow tires. Then I can get nicer new 18" wheels to remount the stock tires onto them for regular use. (A little extra cost but well worth the effort.)
