  1. Did you set up your fuelly account? That is where the "view all badges" are listed, not here in this forum.

  3. Unless the "banking left turn" noted above involves engaging the brakes, meaning those are part of the issue. But if was to bet $1 I would also say bearing.
  4. Over my 145k my average was 39.6MPG -- I think she is now getting about 38MPG combined. I will check within the next couple weeks as I think it's about time for the 220k mile oil change so she comes over to the house and I get to change the oil and take a look under the hood to make sure all is well.
  5. I think in most cases it does "depend on your driving" and while smooth gradual stops that recapture the most energy are important, I think the cruising speeds make a bigger difference, in my opinion anyway. Here is the recap of this past week's trip down to Lynchburg VA and back where 90% of the driving was on rolling winding roads with speed limit of 55 (I had cruise set on 55) then rolling hills with less curves and speed limit of 60 (I had cruise set on 64), and cruise was engaged almost all the time except when going through the little podunk towns here and there. This was also with not using HVAC much since temps were mild. If someone were only getting 38 MPG I'd wonder about the HVAC use (I think that matters a little) and cruising speed (I think that matters a lot).
  6. I looked back on this thread and had 2 tire issues within a month of each other, but that was over 2 years ago (time flies). So I guess maybe it was due time again. Just as we were opening presents this morning I got a text from MyFordMobile that her Fusion Energi had a low tire pressure warning, I walked out to the garage and it was not tough to tell which one was low. So I pulled the tire to take a look, and yep there was the culprit. Good thing I got the text this morning and had plenty of time to put the full size spare on there (once again glad I have that it in the garage, as noted far earlier in this thread) since she has a 60 mile trip tomorrow and I wouldn't want to get a call from I-95 that the tire is flat.
  7. It's that time again friends, Merry Christmas!
  8. Saving everyone from having to click the link -- none of them appear to be related to Fusions. Dec 22, 2015 | DEARBORN, Mich. Ford Issues Three Safety Recalls and One Safety Compliance Recall in North America DEARBORN, Mich., Dec. 22, 2015 – Ford Motor Company is issuing three safety recalls and one safety compliance recall in North America. Details are as follows: Ford Motor Company issues safety recall for certain 2003-2005 Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis vehicles to replace lighting control module Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 313,000 2003-2005 Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis vehicles to replace a lighting control module. The solder joints on the module could crack and interrupt power to the headlamps – increasing the risk of crash at night. Ford is aware of 11 reports of accidents and one report of a minor injury related to this issue. Affected vehicles include certain 2003-2005 Ford Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis vehicles built at St. Thomas Assembly Plant, Oct. 3, 2001 through Aug. 2, 2005. There are a total of 312,814 vehicles that might be affected in North America, including 296,004 in the United States and federalized territories, 14,714 in Canada and 2,096 in Mexico. The safety belt assembly could have improperly secured pretensioner cables, and might not adequately restrain an occupant in a crash. Ford is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue. Affected vehicles include certain 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCrew vehicles built at Dearborn Assembly Plant, Jan. 22, 2015 through March 17, 2015. There are a total of 3,218 vehicles that might be affected in North America, including 2,590 in the United States and federalized territories, 555 in Canada and 73 in Mexico. Dealers will remove and replace the front driver and/or passenger safety belt retractor and pretensioner assembly at no cost to the customer.
  9. Funny - I also got a postcard but it only mentioned the 15E03 PCM update, didn't mention the still-outstanding 14S21 RCM or the 15S16 door latches. Once I finally get the appt I will ask them to look at those steering bolts for 15R01.
  10. Yeah I agree that seems pretty often, hopefully they find a good reason.
  11. I watched the video, and my 2010 FFH did that same thing probably a handful of times (maybe more, don't remember exactly) over the years, which was strange but no malfunction lights ever went off and all was fine afterward. That car currently has about 215k miles now and the HVB is still fine, so I'm curious to see if the dealer can find some type of internally stored error code in your car. But thinking back I think my Prius did that now and then, first time it happened I was upset and said hey where did my charge go??? However the best/strangest was in 2014 when we were on a road trip to Florida in her Fusion Energi, we had driven down to FL for a week and so the 20-mile HVB was long long gone and we never plugged in during the week-long vacation - we stopped at Cracker Barrel in SC on the way back and when I started the car again to leave it showed 2 miles of EV range, which I thought was really really strange. But everything drive fine and once we finally got home it charged up fine and no problems, just a really strange occurrence. So again I am curious as to whether they will find something in your car, but from my experience these cars have exhibited seemingly quirkly behavior in the past (like noted above and also the conditioning cycle which makes the ICE charge the HVB to where you think it's going to explode when experienced the first time), so unless some type of warning notice appears I don't worry too much about it when it happens.

Top pic (orange) is the concept car that was shown in Jan 2015, bottom pic (silver) is the sneak peek at the actual production version. I like the bottom one better.
  13. Exactly - otherwise there would not be a suitable way for the view to assess the approximate percentage that had been worn from when the pads were new.
  14. My real name is Clint Eastwood, but that causes too much confusion so I just go with jeff_h.
  15. Yeah makes me feel all warm and fuzzy too.
  16. No, I only got the 15E03 and 14S21 done... and going to get the same for her blue one in the next few weeks, but will see if they can do the 15R01 inspection on hers and see how it looks.
  17. Yep over there on the MD side just at the top of Rt 5 on the lower map, just north of Clinton MD. Sucks there too. :shift:
  18. Basic gist of the link is below, does not affect Fusions. Ford Motor Company issues safety recall for certain 2009-2010 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles in North America for potential fuel tank issue Ford Motor Company is issuing a safety recall for approximately 129,000 2009-2010 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles in corrosion states and provinces in North America for possible corrosion under the reinforcement brackets where the fuel tank is mounted to the vehicle. This condition might result in a fuel odor, fuel leak or a check engine light. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire. Ford is not aware of any accidents, injuries or fires related to this condition. Affected vehicles include certain 2009-2010 Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX vehicles built at Oakville Assembly Plant Sept. 11, 2008 through July 1, 2010.
  19. We're #1! We're #1! These pics are from 2013 but things haven't changed much -- in the lower pic from the 395/495 intersection that shows red southbound, it will go green eventually, but the red lasts for 44 miles on really fun traffic days. So many friendly people, smiling faces everywhere you look... almost.
  20. We're #1! We're #1! I'm so proud... kinda.
  21. The opening is down a bit lower and shutters are behind that area, see below: I think this one looks pretty good - I got it last week. EV range is rated at 53 miles but a guy who tries to drive smoothly can get much better, as shown in bottom left of the below -
  22. No, it looks like it's really the combination of the slight angle of your driveway and the significant crown in the street, making for the scrape. But I think we all agree, the long and low nose that was designed for better aero definitely has its drawbacks and I bet the next generation (I think 2017??) will address this and make it better, may not be completely but I bet (my guess only) there will be a definite improvement.
  23. I go through this every morning, where I use the HVB for the first few miles and then go EV-later when I hit I-95. if you set your view to the one that shows the effort of both EV and ICE (I think it's 'Engage' but not sure) you should see that when the ICE first comes on the burden that the ICE has is very small and most of the burden is still on the EV, and then after about 30 seconds it should ease back the other way.
  24. That's strange - mine has done it for quite some time and I didn't get the 15E03 and 14S21 until last week.
  25. This is what I was getting at in my post a ways above, that it's typical for the behavior to occur for me when turning right into a parking space and the wheels are probably turned about 2/3 of their range and it seems like it causes an issue with the inside and outside wheel being so different that the system may not be expecting it (but should be) and considers it a lack of traction and ABS kicks in to release the brake temporarily. It is a bit freaky the first couple times it happens, but now I'm not surprised at it and chalk it up to competing systems being too smart by half.
