  2. Just need to pull the nose and put the horn in, the connector is right next to the washer bottle. https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts/ford-horn-asy_hg9z-13801-f.html?vin=&make=Ford&model=Fusion&year=2017&submodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=()
  3. The other 2019 decontenting items implemented at various times during that year were: 1) Removal of the hood liner 2) Removal of the fender to hood seals 3) right horn deleted 4) spare replaced by tire mobility kit 4) glove box lamp delete 5) side mirror changes, some trims lost turn signal mirror/heat/puddle lamp 6) base of the mirrors not painted, just the top cover 7) SE/TI lower rear valance is no longer body color
  4. It's next to the intake manifold opposite the #4 cylinder. Try spraying the flap to the gas filler neck with some some WD40, sometimes they bind just enough to leak a little.
  5. I think in your posts you need to indicate if you're driving the Hybrid model or the Energi.....
  6. There is plenty of info on how to do this over on 2gfusions.net. The Hybrid is nothing special compared to a conventional Fusion.
  7. Hardly. Those functions are part of the Sirius XM Travel Link subscription, it's like $5/mo. What you saw was the Sirius XM freebie Memorial Day for all, they do it around different holidays. The factory subscription is good for 5 years from the in service date, after that you have to pay for it.
  8. With a good adapter and a Forscan extended license, go into the APIM in As Built mode. You'll see a button for load As Built which will pull it directly from Ford, click it, write it to the module, follow the screen prompts and all will be well again.
  9. You'll get this if there is an issue with the front radar unit or the forward looking camera by the rear view mirror and scanning for DTCs will find the problem. Plenty of info on the over on 2gfusions.
  10. Heat pumps if you've ever lived with one deliver a "cold heat", the air coming out of the duct is the temp it's set for and it can take a while to warm things up. So in a car it's not really practical since you have nothing flowing to the radiator via the cooling system till the coolant gets up to 180º. The Energi has a PTC electric heater as it's intended to spend most of it's life on battery.
  11. You can't, the unit from the FFE as well as the HF35 are not the same unit. You're not going to get any additional performance or power by putting a unit from an Energi into a Hybrid.
  12. More than likely the transmissions learned customization dropped out of it. My experience is that when I reset it via IDS or Forscan it goes way down for a week, then I have to burn the next tank of gas down to 3/4 and then top it off with premium. After that my mileage is back up and I only use straight 87 octane. If all else fails have the dealer check the PCM for a calibration update.
  13. The 12v battery is the booting battery for the car, a bad one will cause all kinds of strange things. The usual first symptom of a bad one is that when you try to run the stereo with the ignition off, it turns off in less than 15-20 minutes with a power save message.
  14. The other thing to look at is the electrolyte level in the battery. I pull the battery and top mine off every year. You have to remember that the 12v is technically the booting power supply for the car and the charge rate to it is really low compared to a non-hybrid.
  15. There's an entire set of instructions for doing this mod on 2gfusions. http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=6598
  16. The temp of the wheel is based on a value in the Heated Steering Wheel (HSW) and the cutoff is based on the resistance of a thermal resistor in the wheel itself. The factory temp for a 2014-2015 is 68º, they raised it later to 92º for 2016+.
  17. Have the dealer check the FCIM (the faceplate with your HVAC & Radio controls) for a calibration update (Ford speak for firmware). You're describing an old issue that goes back to 2013-2016, a TSB was issued for the 2013-2015s.

  19. The 2013+ Fusion, MkZ and CMax Hybrids now have 0w-20 as the recommended motor oil with 5w-20 also being approved for use. Evidently 0w-20 is the factory fill oil and provides up to 4% better fuel economy, the change notice hit in Q1/2016 and it's now on the Motorcraft Oil/Filter charts at the dealers.
  20. Opening the diagonally opposite window an inch or so will kill the helicoptering.
  21. This is a simple plug and play unlike the Focus, Escape and CMax. You'll need a new headlamp switch that has the Foglamp button, wiring harness for the nose, foglamp brackets, bezels and lights. After you plug them in they'll work just like the factory installed units with the exception of the indicator on the cluster, that requires a slight change in the cluster (IPC) using Forscan. There's a Forscan thread over on 2gfusions.net with the info on what has to be changed.
  22. Since you have the 8" screen you can actually have a third party add the HD radio from a Titanium to your SE. The part that you'll need is an ACM (module with the CD player in it) from a Titanium, the part number on the unit is DS7T-19C107-CC to CL and after that you'll need the feature enabled in your APIM. I sent the replacement ACM and my APIM up to Jason at fordpimods.com and he was able to program it it and send everything back to me within a day so my total project time was about a week shipping via Priority Mail.
  23. I guess I'm a relic.... I'm a techie that has a 128gb USB drive plugged into my USB port and I find that I tend to only listen to that on a longer drive so I enjoy the radio. And it has the advantage that I don't have to look at it when I'm driving like I would have to do with my OnePlus One if I use it for everything. My Xmas present to myself this year was to upgrade the MFT radio in my SE and buy the HD Radio ACM (you need one from a Titanium the part number end in CC to CL) and send it to Jason up at fordpimods.com to get the feature enabled in my APIM.
  24. It sounds more like as issue with the FCIM or the SCCM Have you tried pulling the negative battery cable off for 10 minutes to allow the CANBUS to clear and reset?
