For anyone wanting this done it cab be done in IDS v96 and above under Programmable Features on the very first screen (the tech doesn't even have to open module programming). This is the same place that they enable Remote Start so that it shows up on and your cluster as well as courtesy wipe and AutoStart disable (if you have a 1.6L with this option).

Just a small note here that if you read the owner's manual definition of severe/specail service you'll find that quite a few daily drivers fall into the category. I'n my wife's case it's because of how short her daily commute is, the engine never gets a chance to really completely warm up.

I would have just replaced the driver visor with the Homelink unit since it draws power from the vanity mirror. The part numbers are below if you want new, but one from a salvage yard like Nordstroms would be cheaper. DS7Z-5404105-KB DS7Z-5404105-KA
