Then there's this: https://www.apple.com/ios/carplay/ -
Or so you think... I mean, it's a good theory...

Well now, isn't that dandy... [starts holding breath] ;) -
There are probably also some deals to be had on leftover 2014 model year inventory.
-
About a week, but if your dealer knows what they are doing, it should be much less than that.

hermans is likely referring to his long-term average. I'm seeing about a 4 mpg decrease over my last tank and a half. Fortunately, this has yet to cause my lifetime average to drop even a tenth.... but it's coming.

Trailer hitch on 08 SEL 4

Doubt he remembers from 5 years ago... -
I found it on my own, but I can totally understand how people missed it, based on the location. The steering wheel can obstruct the view...

When I called to cancel, they immediately offered a year at 50% off. That's how you know it's overpriced!

IF I end up subscribing to Slacker, they offer the ability to cache several hours of music when on wi-fi, which could virtually eliminate the requirement to use massive amounts of mobile data. Also, as acdii mentioned, it may not require as much data as you think.
-
Week 1 without Sirius, and all is well. I pretty much only listened to 1 station, and I found a Slacker equivalent. I'm using free Slacker for now, but if I decide to pay anyone it would be them.

Are the new tires narrower? You probably have less surface area contacting the road. Less resistance = better mileage. Many have reported that the cars with 17" wheels, i.e. no wheel upgrade, seem to be slightly more efficient.

Actually, if I had three hands, it still might not be enough... That was a doozy! -

Any way to receive calls from two phones?

I don't have personal experience with this, but I would guess that your car would see it as one phone. -
Color me confused - Sync and MyFordTouch
md13ffhguy replied to mwr's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
Well, I did preface my comment, "With all due respect..." So, just to be clear, I do not intend to be disrespectful, or nasty, to Kim - she is simply relaying the company line. So, what do I think is wrong with the response? First, the idea that the INSTALL APPS button is used for updates? There haven't been any updates since I received my car (a 2013), and presumably, if there is ever going to be one, installation will be via the USB port. Second, using the VEHICLE HEALTH REPORT and 911 ASSIST as examples of applications seems somewhat irrelevant, since to the best of my knowledge, these are pre-installed features. I can't find any information indicating that either of these could be installed separately using the INSTALL APPS button. So, it seems to me that what's really pointless is the INSTALL APPS button in Sync with MyFord Touch. When I get some time, I'll do that. To start the conversation here, I'd suggest ALL of the apps that are available to owners with Sync WITHOUT the PREMIUM MyFord Touch interface, via the AppLink Catalog: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/sync-applink-catalog-sync Pandora, Rhapsody, Slacker Radio, IHeartAuto, SiriusXM, Aha Radio, Ford Sync Destinations, Glympse, MLB.COM At Bat, etc........ -
No, just questioning your logic/choice of language... 3-4 MPGs should be significant in anyone's book, yet you suggested that the percentage would be insignificant... kind of confusing! Seemed like you were arguing both ways.

I "REALLY" hate cold weather, What to expect in MPG.

Thanks again! Never heard of Menard's around here, but I know several places that would have that stuff. I'll need double to do my wife's car, too. -
I'm confused... wouldn't an improvement of 3-4 MPG be something like 7 to 9.5 percent based on new EPA rating of 42 MPGs? That would seem fairly significant to me! ;)

With all due respect, you have got to be kidding. -

Thanks! Looks like a trip to Home Depot and a project for this weekend! -
Scam. Plain and simple. Not even worth $50.

Got any good pics with the foam in place? -
In a very controlled test over a significant distance, I hope you're wrong. Practically speaking, in real world conditions, you're probably right. It would definitely be dependent on many factors, including how and when the driver engages the feature, elevation changes, traffic conditions, and whether or not it's used in conjunction with ACC, among many others.
-
FYI, Fusions that are not equipped with ACC also have the ECO cruise feature. However, I have both features in my car, too. I think the combo is very effective in boosting efficiency.
