Shark Fin antenna: unboxed and installed
anguyen replied to Former Expedition owner's topic in Body Exterior
I love Ford, but they are too cheap to have things like Shark Fin antenna, hood strut etc, i mean how much more could it cost. -
Thanks for your inputs, I always use the set - to decrease the speed then EV kick in. I will try your method with my foot to see any gain in mpg.

What is the outside temperature? Down here in Houston with 98-100+ degree I only was able yo mustard 41mpg

We pay premium for the hybrid, Ford should make rembursement the value of the vehicle vs how much gas it would use, if Ford advertise 43mpg we would have not pay that much for our FFH.

I am in Houston we constantly get mid 90 to 100 deg. The car now have 1,400 miles on it, I get 42.4mpg on a 400 miles round trip going 64mph, and street travel hoping 30-55mph and get 39.6mpg a/c and entertainment always on. Use Eco Cruise when ever I can. Hope this help

Don't really know if the update help or not, got my car update when it has 300 miles, now shr got 1400 miles. On interstate 400 miles round trip I got 42.4 A/C, ECO Cruise, and entertainment on all time. Travel @ 65mph. Now on street going from 30-55mpg I got 39.6 mpg, I get to traffic speed then release gas pedal, then with ECO Cruise on when ever I can. Does this mpg on street level ground sound normal with 1,400 mies on the car? People in this forum mention also the salesman stated the car break in after 3,000 miles. How much more Mpg would I get after 3,000 miles break in?

I don't see how you can get 53.1 mpg traveled at 65mph, there is no way this can happen on FFH unless you traveled down hill.- 235 replies

Consumer Reports covers the PCM software update
anguyen replied to MaineFusion's topic in News & Reviews
Just got my 13'FFH software update last Friday, I was at the dealer to get my second pair of key sync with my car and asked the service manager if they had the updated software. Well dealer can't get the key sync to my FFH Not even with the Ford Hot Line. I got tired of waiting after 3 hours at the dealer since my car got an software updated. I take my car back and will be back on Monday to get my second key sync. With my new updated I took my car for a trip 270 miles round trip. I start out in Houston only 630 miles on my FFH with 91 deg driving 65mpg to 78mpg moving along with the traffic. Coming back from L'Auberge Lake Charles casino with win, it was 96 deg also driving 65-78mph all on ECO Cruise Control at the end of the trip I got perfect 40.0mpg. What do guys and gals think about 40.0 mpg with the sofware updated on the Interstate bellows are more informations regard to the car and the trip. Stock 18" rim with 235/45/18 Good Year LS2 84 Regular Gas 1 person on the trip Climate control on all time with 65deg fan on one par Entertainment on all the time playing musics from USB Btw This is my first interstate with my FFH, so no base line to compare to see if the software update help my mpg or not. -
Different Brands of Gas - Performance and Mileage
anguyen replied to HenryVIII's topic in Fuel Mileage
I get 40-50 miles per tank on my 06" Honda Odessey with Valero, BP, Citco, Cononco, SAM's Club Costco vs Shell, Exxon, Chevron, and the worst mileage is Texaco. All the test are done on the same way I traveled, and all test are done within new oil change. -
Congrats Great MPG with EV mileage, ICE only give you 16+MPG, there are plenty of room if Ford can improve ICE MPG. It take great effort to get your achievements,

What can Ford do to make the Fusion Even better?
anguyen replied to acdii's topic in Lounge - Fusion Hybrid Talk
How about better fuel management in Atkinson motor, when ever Atkinson motor kick in at low speed it either in below 20mpg or mid 20mpg, when crusing it show geting around mid 30mpg. I think ford needed to do more research on fuel management on Atkinson there are plenty of room to improve when Atkinson kick in at low speed. Better brake regen Make use of battery more when accerate car from dead stop to at least 45 mph befor Atkinson motor kick in. Add equalizer to entertainment system Better quality on sunglasses holder Battery should move to the underneath of carriage and give back truck space. Dual exhausts on hybrid Make upgrade software available to Ford users, most of us got wireless, when I park in the garage I can link wireless in my 13' FFH. Most of his can be done via software. -
