  1. The appointment went as expected. Luckily the new SA was a former tech and understood the problem immediately. Both sides were done in July, 2013. Both sides were done again this morning. Driving home the clicking noise was gone. Hopefully this will be the last time this TSB is needed.
  2. Still under BtB warranty. I met Jason off facility and he said he might be back to SBF, he's working at the large truck division. It's tough retraining the SA's to understand our needs. I haven't been back for 6 months, to good to be true.
  3. The clicking/cracking noise has reappeared in the RF wheel, at 24,000 miles. Same noise, same conditions that was repaired in July, 2013, at 6,000 miles. I thought I heard something last week but wasn't sure. It's now repeatable every time I accelerate and brake. I'm taking the car in tomorrow for another issue and I'll mention this to the SA. All the SA's are new at my dealer, so I'll be armed with the TSB 13-5-24. I'm hoping Ford will honor multiple claims for the same condition. Has anyone else that had the TSB done, hearing the clicking noise again?
  4. Find a power source under the hood, and through a relay, power the fog lights by using a splice connector attached to the high beam power wire. There are other users on this site that can help with finding a power source under the hood and possibly recommend a relay that will work. Details can be easily worked out by someone with basic auto electrical skills.
  5. For me the term, pulsing, is what describes the noise and feeling of the ABS during operation
  6. Type in the App Store search, "altispeed". I don't think it was a free app.
  7. Here is what I use when I want to know elevation.
  8. I had a problem when the inside of the windshield in the camera view port never cleared up. The dealer took the flashing around the camera down and cleaned the inside of the windshield. I occasionally get a obstructed camera warning now, fogginess is on the inside, but it does clear up in a few minutes.
  9. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. The first generation of the DBL pud lights had a flickering problem, these new pud lights do not. So if you try it yourself then you just might have a flickering problem. The OEM pud lights are incandescent so flickering will not be noticeable. I think it's the added resistance/load of the filament that keeps the OEM system from flickering. I had issues with the first generation of the DBL pud lights flickering.
  10. Try this link, super bright LED pud lights. http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/Puddle_Lights_NL3C.html I have these installed and the bright lighting is very welcome on dark nights.
  11. I just used that method today. Works like a charm.
  12. Here are a couple of backgrounds that I like and have used in the past. This one is great if you have heated seats.
  13. That picture was taken around 4:30pm. Earlier in the day the temp was 84F.
  14. I can't take credit for the screen background, I downloaded it after I Googled, Ford MFT 800x384 wallpaper. There are many more great wallpapers to download. I thank all the people that spent way too much time creating these wallpapers for us to use freely. The only thing I did was rename my phone to Tricorder.
  15. Many people say the FFH is like riding in a spaceship, I've settled for now, on this background.
  16. Here are simple instructions for adding wallpaper to MFT. The My Ford Touch wallpapers can be gif, jpg, png, and bmp with a maximum file size of 1.5MB. Wallpaper Dimensions are 800px x 384px. 1. Load the wallpaper images on a USB Drive. 2. Insert the USB Device into the USB port in the central console (under the armrest) 3. Select the Settings Options 4. Select Display Options 5. Select Edit Wallpaper 6. Select "Add" and then from your USB device select what images you would like to import. This will just copy the images from your USB drive into the MFT system 7. Once the files have been uploaded, press the back arrow and then highlight the image you want and select Save. 8. Select the Home button and you should see your image now appear! Here is a link that you can use. http://focusmftwallpapers.tumblr.com/ And there are many more.
  17. For those of you interested, I just got an email from NuShield.com stating there is a 15% discount on all products for the next 24 hours. Use code CCPD15%. Cell phones through 80" TV's.
  18. If you run the HVAC constantly in recirculate mode, the 100% humidity you breath out, never leaves the car cabin and will possibly condense on the inside when the interior of the car cools down.
  19. Brake Over Accelerator I couldn't help it and had to try it out, I just went for a short drive. Floored it a 35 mph, then stepped on the brake, It works just like its supposed to. I always wondered if there were an ICE runaway how would you stop the car. Now I know.
  20. Seeing SONY is stamped on the case, it's probably the subwoffer amplifier, in a Titanium.
  21. After I read your post, I also have the Nushield, I realized I haven't noticed any fingerprints for a long time now. There were some smudges in the beginning but now all I use is a soft micro fiber cloth to dust the screen. I bought the medical Nushield Triple A, antimicrobial, antiglare, antifingerprint screen protector. I'm real happy with it. It's been installed well over a year and actually looks better now than new.
  22. I've had the LVB replaced twice under warranty, the first at 3,000 miles the second at 18,500 miles. Both times I took pictures of the BS message with a cell phone and showed them to my SA, because it never repeats at the dealer. The first was supposidly due to a bad batch of batteries Ford recieved, the second was just a failure. You shouldn't be putting up with this, there is a problem and Ford has to step up to remedy your situation. The radio and accessories should stay on for at least 8 minutes with the key off before the system times out. Unless you open the door, then the system shuts off immediately.
  23. In the past, using the tachometer in the LH dash "my view" screen, I found it is a just for reference only gauge. Because of the traction motor and ICE interconnection the indicated RPM has no correlation to MPH. Some times I noticed on the same road at the same MPH the RPM was different. I believe it has to do with the SOC of the drive battery. If the SOC is low there is more ICE RPM needed to charge the drive battery and keep the same MPH. If the SOC is high then the ICE RPM is lower for the same MPH. Just my observation.
  24. Looks like something that would be quite compatable on a Mars Rover.
  25. Actually Ford did think this through. Starting on page 219 and showing a picture on page 220 of my owners manual, shows the under hood jump starting connections.
