lmp180psu Report post Posted April 5, 2013 My Fusion has recognized 3 places. It recognized my partners house after 4 days (his was the first location), then it recognized my own house after a couple weeks, then work not long after. I like that it does it coming from different directions too.

neod192 Report post Posted April 6, 2013 (edited) My car spent one day at the dealership when it first arrived, and when I drove by it, EV+ kicked in.... I thought it takes a few days to find a + spot. Edited April 6, 2013 by neod192

neod192 Report post Posted April 7, 2013 My car spent one day at the dealership when it first arrived, and when I drove by it, EV+ kicked in.... I thought it takes a few days to find a + spot.Today, it also recognized my house! I've had it for less than 48 hours :) I guess sitting in the driveway and turning the car on and off helped  1 corncobs reacted to this
BradS7535 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 Same as neod. Took about 2-3 days for it to recognize my house. Don't think it has recognized my work location yet...funny as it seems I spend more time at work than I do at home!

Don't think it has recognized my work location yet...funny as it seems I spend more time at work than I do at home!Yup, same here! I'm still waiting for it to show EV+ at work ... The nice thing about it recognizing my dealer is that it goes in EV+ on the highway, on the way to my house! The dealer is right next to highway about halfway - so I get some EV+ action on the way home :)
aaronj1159 Report post Posted April 29, 2013 My car recognized my home pretty quickly, but it still has yet to go into EV+ at work. I had taken it to a place to look into installing an aftermarket remote starter, and even though they didn't actually install it, they turned the car on and off so many times while looking into all the wiring that it's now an EV+ location too! corncobs Report post Posted April 30, 2013 Took my FFH about 4 weeks to learn my work location. Now the fun part is that when I leave the office park I go around the park and being close to the second entry it turns EV+ on. I can then thru a neighborhood on EV+ after I have driven about .5 miles it turns off. Once I'm on the interstate which goes by the office park again it turn EV+ back on. It's really funny to watch that game...
neod192 Report post Posted May 3, 2013 My car just learned my work location, exactly 4 weeks after I bought it :) Now it knows 3 EV+ places: dealer, home and work! The cool thing is, the dealer is halfway between my home and work, so it gets enabled on the way to and from work too :shift:
wacevedo Report post Posted May 27, 2013 About 5 days after I took delivery of my car, it learned my Home. A week later I performed a lifetime reset and it no longer remembered my address. I then proceeded to save both my home and work address as favorites and within two days it learned both.
2014FordFusionSE Report post Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) Mine goes to EV+ when nearing home and also when I pass the dealership. It's less than a month old and has about 550 miles on it.I have home and work as favorites but it doesn't switch to EV+ for work. Will try and reset both trip meters to see if that helps. Edited March 19, 2014 by 2014FordFusionSE
OlDannyBoy Report post Posted August 5, 2014 I haven't found any documentation that says how many locations EV+ Mode can learn nor do I know how long it is supposed to take to learn them (my experience was just a few days, but NOTHING happens till you do both of the following. First, make sure EV+ Mode is available:— Information Display (left-hand side) — Settings — Driver Assist — EV+ Mode — On Second, clear all "Driver History" [the places you go most often]—who knows where your car went during test drives!— Information Display (left-hand side) — Settings — Display — Driver History — "Hold OK to Reset" Lastly, if you go to the same Starbucks every week more often than you go home or work (no personal comments please, just saying), then maybe it is appropriate that your Hybrid learns that Starbucks as a favorite location, no? 1 GrySql reacted to this
hermans Report post Posted August 5, 2014 (edited) I drive the FFH every week, to the same location, to get pizza and EV+ kicks in. It also recognizes my house, the post office, where my wife works and the local shopping center.. The local Ford dealer used to be on the list. machoman1337 Report post Posted August 6, 2014 I didn't even know about EV+ until a month later, but when I checked it seemed to have memorized my house and work just fine, and I didn't even need to have route guidance active in the nav. It also seems to know specific points inside my route, i.e. certain bridges and intersections.
acdii Report post Posted August 6, 2014 It works based on the number of stop starts of the ignition system. I believe it kicks on after 11 restarts at the same location. Usually Home will be the first one entered since most owners spend a lot of time the first few days playing with the car without actually driving it. When you think about it, it usually takes 2 weeks before EV+ shows up, which equates to about 11 starts. 1 corncobs reacted to this

acdii Report post Posted August 7, 2014 I had thought my dealer was added, turned out to be the gas station across the street. Since we haven't filled up there in a while(found out it is still selling gas, so filling up there again) the EV+ went away. It is nice to have EV+ through town.
