TerrorTodd Report post Posted April 13, 2013 White platinum....it was cloudy out so the color didn't snap as much as it will when sunny. I really like the color and for Florida white is nice!
hermans Report post Posted April 13, 2013 You can tell the dealer that you want no dealer advertisement (including license plate frames) on the car. I've never had a dealer give me a hard time about it. It's your car. I did have a dealer in Phoenix ask me, "What would it take for you to keep our dealer name on the car". I told him $5,000. He promptly had the sticker removed. This was a car I bought off the lot. 2 neod192 and shaggy314 reacted to this

That's basically what I tell them, to NOT put any dealer decal/logo on the back, but if you want to stick a license plate frame on there go right ahead as I'll be changing that out within the next couple days -- so I will add your dealer frame to the stack I have in the garage. acdii Report post Posted April 13, 2013 I leave it on only because they have been so good to me over the past decade. Any business I can send to them is a plus on my side. They are going to let me use the $100 credit I got towards a new car for the hitch parts. I shopped around last night, and that $100 makes it the least expensive deal anywhere when you add in shipping costs.
shaggy314 Report post Posted April 17, 2013 I'd leave 'dealer branding' on my car for a $100 yearly fee... otherwise I made it clear to my salesman I would not accept a car with it.
Toz Report post Posted April 17, 2013 I recieved a Tweet from @fordservice today telling my my fusion would be built within the next two weeks. So I am hoping that means that my build week got pushed up a week or two. Yea, I hope.

So I am hoping that means that my build week got pushed up a week or two. Yea, I hope. My build week's been set for next week but I still don't have a sticker so I figure that will be pushed back for me. I wonder if Ford would line us up and build them at the same time. Possibly even ship them on the same train North. 1 Toz reacted to this

wazzul Report post Posted April 28, 2013 Wow, so sad. Doesn't look like my first order was even built yet. Luckily I was able to find another dealer who had one coming with all the same options, so it looks like I'll be driving the new car in the next couple days. Hope your's is ahead of schedule Toz! My dealership has notified me that my car is guaranteed to be delivered tommorow so I plan to take the afternoon off to finalize the loan and take ownership. The car was transported by rail to Wayne, MI by 4/15/13 and has been waiting to be unloaded from the rail car ever since - unbelievable final insult during this incredible 5 month wait curtesy of Ford Motor Co - 15 days just sitting in a rail car!

I will take photos after I get the car home and post them as soon as I can. wazzul Report post Posted May 1, 2013 Maybe a current owner can help me out with a couple things? 1) The Ford emblem on the front of the car. Does out have a little play in it? When you put pressure on one side, does it wiggle a little? 2) What does the little rocket button in the shifter do? Isit helpful? I'd never Sseen it in the Hybrid nor have I heard mention of it in any reviews I've seen. In fact never even saw it in the SE version I test drove. It also seems to help get more energy out of the car as it goes downhill and charges the battery faster. I don't have any big hills around here to really try it out. I don't have any big hills around here to really try it out.I think Hill Start Assist is an automatic feature, and is not really activated by that button. The second part you said is true though. It holds a steady speed as you're descending a steep grade, allowing for more regeneration. Here's a short video describing the automatic hill assist: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMk0VRf1qzI

The hill assit is always active. Grade assist provides additional braking with a combination of engine motoring and high-voltage battery charging to help mainting vehicle speed when descending a grade. Hill assist activates if the sensors detect that your vehicle is on a slope. 1 neod192 reacted to this
smr2112 Report post Posted May 1, 2013 Ahh, another undocumented feature! I love it. Could have used that in the 2010 FFH withthe LRR tires, it did seem to pick up alot of speed, don't notice it much on the 2013, butI'll give it a try.
neod192 Report post Posted May 1, 2013 (edited) You guys are right : hill start assist is automatic. Grade assist is activated with the button on the gearshift level. Both features are documented in the owner's manual! Grade assist (page 175):• Provides additional grade braking with a combination of engine motoring and high-voltage battery charging to help maintain vehicle speed when descending a grade.• As the vehicle determines the amount of engine motoring and high-voltage battery charging, you may notice the engine speed increasing and decreasing to help maintain your vehicle speed when descending a grade.• The grade assist lamp in the instrument cluster is illuminated. The grade assist lamp will appear in the instrument cluster when grade assist is turned on. HILL START ASSIST (page 176)The system makes it easier to pull away when your vehicle is on a slope without the need to use the parking brake. When the system is active, your vehicle will remain stationary on the slope for two to three seconds after you release the brake pedal. This allows you time to move yourfoot from the brake to the accelerator pedal. The brakes are released automatically once the engine has developed sufficient drive to prevent your vehicle from rolling down the slope. This is an advantage when pulling away on a slope, (for example from a car park ramp, traffic lights or when reversing uphill into a parking space). The system will activate automatically on any slope which can result in significant vehicle rollback. Edited May 1, 2013 by neod192
corncobs Report post Posted May 1, 2013 It works very well I tested this feature extensively driving thru the Rockies. As soon the HVB is fully charged it just uses the engine and eCVT to keep the speed selected.
