Replacing Headlight (Assembly)

Recommended Posts

How do I replace the headlight assembly on a 2010 Fusion? Is it easy to do myself or should I get someone at the dealership to do it for me?

Hi ibmans. :D To access and remove the entire headlight assembly, the front bumper cover must be removed. The bumper cover is held on with bolts and pin-type fasteners that can be seen with the hood open and from under the car. It is not a hard job for someone who is relatively handy with basic tools and comfortable working on their car.

Just as an FYI (since you don't mention why you need to remove the assembly): The headlight assembly does not need to be removed to replace the bulbs.

Good luck. :beerchug:

My lens on the headlight is broke, has a huge hole in it. These headlights are pretty expensive $266, might have to look on ebay or something for a used one. Thanks for your help.

I ended up buying a used headlight from ebay only 160 bucks. I got it installed at the ford bodyshop for 30 bucks, yes 30 bucks.
