FFH price?

Recommended Posts

Hi all. New to the forum here.

I just got my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid in metallic gray with black leather interior (502a package) a week ago in Maryland for $29,200 (before destination, taxes, and registration). Thought this was an excellent deal. According to TrueCar it was about $900 under invoice. I also received an extra instant $500 off with recent college graduate discount and will get another $850 in tax rebate next April. Overall, total paid 27,850 (still before destination, taxes, and registration). What do you think?

Care to share what you paid for yours? Please include package, extra options, whether you're including destination charge, etc.

Ps. I'm loving everything about this car. My first new car and it's just amazing.

Awesome. I live in Baltimore. Bought the car from Howard County, though.

Was looking for the silver but they didn't have any silver with the 502a and got the gray instead. Still looks excellent.

Only got one option, with the 500 package - the Power Code Remote Start: $29,200 including the destination charge.

Yeah, when I was there they also had one Red and one Green. 'I was like what is this, you celebrating Christmas early?' They said that's just what the factory sent them and the silver one was the only one with the 502A. Besides it being a hybrid, the backup camera is what sold me. I live downtown DC and the only available parking is street-side, which is still hard to find. Circling the block for 20 minutes looking for a spot is not uncommon, even then you may have to park three blocks away; now i can get into spots I never even would've dreamed of before.

When I was looking, all I could find were fully loaded ones, and most in silver, ICK I hate silver cars, both the toyotas were silver, it was all they had. I wanted one in Ice Blue with the leather seats, moon and tune, no NAV. Could not find one anywhere, so I got the Sport instead.

Here is something funny, you can only get a Fusion in Ice Blue if it is a Hybrid, yet, the Sport blue is available on all the cars, when it should have been only available on the Sport model, that way, like the Hybrid, when you see a Fusion in Sport Blue, you know it is a Sport, I mean, it is called Sport Blue. Oh well, cant have everything, right?

The color selection of the FFH is the only thing I don't like about it. We're getting an Ice Blue one...but that's only because there's nothing better. Where's the Sangria Red or Sport Blue option for the hybrid?!?!?

$31,940 MSRP last June when the FFH was hot. 502a package, Ice Blue w/ Med Lt Stone interior.

The price was mitigated by $1700 tax credit.

I purchased my 2010 FFH at the end of last year so I could deduct the sales tax off my 2009 taxes. The car's total MSRP (after sticker-shown discounts, destination & delivery costs) listed at $32,790.00. I paid $29,500 plus taxes & registration fees.

I really liked the sport blue color but it was not available on the hybrid model so I selected the white platinum metalic tri-coat and it looks great with the added pin striping. I personally chose the Fusion because of the great gas mileage, the incredible ride and especially because of its outstanding appearance. The chrome grill absolutely makes the car, in my opinion. The painted ones make the car look like every foreign car out there. I wanted mine to stand out from all those boring, mono-tone cars. I'm proud that I bought an American-made car and that Ford has finally figured out the importance of making a happy consumer Job #1 by producing a highly remarkable vehicle. The "Car of the Year" award along with many other recognitions are well-deserved praises.

The Fusion amazes me each time I drive it. For the price, the ride, fuel savings and its unique appearance, I feel that I made the right choice.

I agree. I am still in awe that I was able to afford a car this nice. My dad says it really compares to some of the high quality lexus luxury models.

For me it is really perfect so far.

Yeah that is perfect for that situation. I don't do very much city parallel parking so I don't find as much use for it. Definitely a fun function for parking lots and such for me, though.

Have you been able to keep your finish looking new living downtown DC? I've been cautious about going downtown Baltimore. If my friends are going I try not to drive my new car there haha.

I haven't had any problems with being bumped yet. I'm more worried about it getting side-swiped by cars driving down the street. I've personally seen two different cars knock off somebody's side mirrors and they just keep driving; that's almost the only thing I wish my FFH had, folding side mirrors. As is, I try to park on the one-way streets since they tend to have more room for traffic and parking. I also try to either be the first or last car in the line. I've been living downtown for three years now and overall I haven't had any problems with people bumping my car. Now, being rear-ended on the other hand, I do have experience with that. . .

On west coast, paid $30,795 grand total before sales tax, with Navigation, Drivers Vision Group, Moon &Tune, Brilliant Silver with Charcoal interior and matching all weather f/b floor mats, on same day you bought on east coast! My sister is now looking she loves covets mine! She's interested in the white platinum tri-coat one, fully loaded. She has a friend who works for Ford in Detroit and is trying to get a "friends and family" referral code. Has anyone had experience with this? How much more can she be expected to save?

Hi Evergreen. :D If your sisters friend can get her an X-Plan PIN (the Friends and Neighbors Plan), and her Dealer is willing to sell on the Plan (it is up to individual Dealer discretion) she will get the vehicle, negotiations free, at a start price of just slightly above Factory Invoice price, and also be eligible any qualified Incentives and Rebates, if any). Figure about $200 above Invoice, before any other applicable discounts (again, if any).

Tell your sister to have her friend register her for the "My Plan"/"Friends and Neighbors" website. Then she can read up on how the plan works, browse Dealer inventory, etc..

Good luck. :beerchug:

Ice Blue 2010 502A Purchased on March 26 in Virginia

X-Plan: $30,379.24

Processing Fee: $75.00

Sate and Local Taxes: $971.49

Tags, Title, Registration: $69.75

Total Out-the-door price: $31,495.48

The whole process could not have been easier. A $500 deposit held the exact car that I wanted until I could get back from a business trip. The actual transaction at the dealership only took about one hour and I was driving away. It was a great car at a great price with a minimum amount of hassle. The transaction is also eligible for the $850 tax credit on the 2010 taxes making the final net price $30,645.

I've driven the car about 1,000 miles since March 26 and the car lives up to my expectations- great ride, great fuel economy, excellent finish and options. The GPS and some of the systems will take some time to master, but overall I'm very impressed.

I hope I mis-understood your post... If not, I have some bad news. The phase-out for the full tax credit began on April 1 2009, so the credit for March 2010 is $850.

You're correct- $850 tax credit for purchasing before the end of March 2010. At least it was something- ;-)

Yup. It will still make tax day better. I bought my FFH site unseen, color unknown. At the time, the dealers didn't understand the tax credit (and apparently still don't?), nor did they have brochures or color samples or the correct details on the options packages. I ordered it anyway to get the tax credit. A year later, I realize that I would've been happy with the value of the car without any credit at all.

Tru-dat. I didn't realize the tax break either, but I'm still incredibly happy with my FFH. I always get tons of compliments from my passengers.
