  1. The lighted sill pates have been installed and htey look great. I will try and get some pictures posted later today or tomorrow. I had the windows tinted too and the back wndow didn't turn out that good. The film dosen't seem to adhere to some of the dotted area on hte top of the back glass. It looks great everywhereelse. 2. I guess the lighted sill plates are in. I'm going to get them installed later this week. I am going to have the windows tinted at the dealership while the car is there.
  3. Greetings all...I have the lighted sill plates on order to be installed on my FFH in the next coule of weeks? has anyone had them put in yet? Impressions? I am also considering to have the windows tinted. I think hte tint on white platninum car would be awesome. kirkster
  4. Well here's the news. The oil leak was form the oil filter not being tight. When I fired up the car, the oil flows through the system then when the car is shut off gravity takes over and what was in the filter drained out. the dealer took care of it on the spot and apologized for the trouble. Ee thought having a loose oil filter on a new car like that was very unusual. My car must have been built just before siesta time in Mexico. I'll get the dorr sill thing dealt with another time. Let's make sure we keep sharing our issues ok? Kirk
  5. Sorry I have to be the first to start this but I have tow issues with my FFH already and I have only had the car a week and a half. 1) That cheap plastic door sill plate is starting to come off. The adhesive is giving way already. 2) Discovered an oil leak coming from the underbelly somewhere. I took the car out of the garage for a few momnets and when I pulled it back into the garage I noticed an oil spot. I pulled it back into the garage and the oil was dripping pretty good for awhile. Then it stopped an hour later. Off it goes to the shop first thing in the AM. I will keep you all posted with the results. Kirk
  6. Contrats! Gald you are enjying it. Tomorrow will be 7 days for me and I am having a blast with the car. It's almost fun to drive to work. kirk
  7. i reember that getting the instructions on how to do the file swap on gracenote was from an infiniti forum. you couldn't even find it on the infiniti owners web site, then about 6 motnhs later it appeared out of nowhere. As far as the disconnect goes I don't get it either. Seems as though they just try and fix it on the fly. Funny how technology works (or does it?).
  8. My '07 Infiniti G35X had a hard drive based nav system and I could update the gracenote data for missing title by means of a file swap action. This was an .exe file you would write to a compact flash card from graenotes web site, run it on the card's hard drrve and extract the missing titles, run the info on the gracenote web site which woudl give you the titles and them download the data back into the car by means of the compact flash card. Should be able to do the same thing using a thumb drive & the USB port. I would expect Ford will issue a tech bulletin for that in the near future.
  9. Sorry to hear about the mishap. The first one is always rough. The dealership where I bought my car from provides free dent & scratch repair for the first year. Dent can't be more that 5". Pretty good deal I thought. Kirk
  10. FYI- I got 44 MPH on the way to work today and 42MPG on the way home. Called Samsung about my phone and a phone hard reboot took care of that issues. Everything is 100% + For those who are still waiting...hang in there. Kirk
  11. i will keep my fingers crossed for ya. You will love it. Drving is nowhere near as boring as it used to be. too busy trying to get the best MPG I can. Kirk
  12. i picked up my FFH last night and I am a happy camper. So far I love everything about the car. People thought I was nuts for trading my '07 Infiniti G until they see the Fusion. Mine has the white tri-step paint which is just stunning. I had a clear bra added (venture shield - must have), paint sealant & ford remote start added. My samsug cell phone, which is bluetooth equipped does not work with the sync system for some reason. It keeps rebooting. My blackberry curve phone set up with no issues. My car has all the factory options including nav, so there is a lot going on inside the car. Got 37MPG on the way to work. My G averaged 20. I still need to get through all the manuals & stuff but so far i am loving the car. Very comfortable & very quiet. The Sony sound system is awesome. Ford knocked it out of hte park on this car. for those of you who are still waiting for yours, it will be worth it...trust me. Kirk
  13. The salesguys just called and I am picking up my FFH tonight! Woo Hoo! I will let you all know how it goes. kirk
  14. It says in a lot of on line documentation that the transmission type on the FFH is CVT. I haven't seen PSD mentioned anywhere. Any reason for that? Kirk
  15. My salesguy just called and I can pick my FFH up tonight! Woo Hoo! I am excited. kirk
  16. thanks for the reply. i figured the "tri" meant something extra. I know BMW and some other foreign car makers charge extra for some paints, this is one of hte few domestic brands i've seen. i'm supposed to pick up my new car tonight and I am getting itchy for it. I'm gonna tak a good look at that tri step paint. Kirk
  17. I am curious as to why the xtra charge for the tri coat paint on the new Fusion? Is it because it takes more time to do, magical powers, etc.? If anyone knows please reply. Kirk
  18. What is X-plan. You can point me to another post if you need to. Thanks!
  19. The sales manager told me that of all the add ons they offer the clear bra (venture Shield & the paint sealant were worth the cost. I won't have to wax the car fro five years and any water spots they will take then out on theri dime. Worth $200 for me not to have to wax for five years. Hope the wait isn't too long for your FFH Kirk
  20. I paid MSRP for mine. They wouldn't budge a dime. They said most units were allocated to the coasts. Us floks in MN are not seeing many.
  21. I bought mine from Apple Ford In Shakopee. My wife has a '07 Fusion and her's goes pretty good in the winter. It is my understadning that the tire on the hybrid are designed to have minimal rolling resistance, so how well they wrok with snow is yet to be seen. I just talked to my sales guy and hopfully I should be able to pick the car up tomorrow. They are doing the remote start now then it gets the venture shield then the paint sealant. Gald to hear you are enjyoing yours. Did you get the nav with yours?
  22. I am new to this forum and I am also the new owner of a 2010 Fusion Hybrid as of last night. I found the exact one I wanted at my local dealership (White Plat tri-coat & 502A). I don't have the car yet because I added paint sealant & a clear bra for the front end. I also ordered the power code remote. I should have the car tomorrow or Thursday. I traded in my 2007 Infiniti G35X to have the Fusion. The three things I will miss are, all whelll drive, homelink transmiter & push buton start. This car does have a zillion other features. I'm excited to get her home. BTW the dealer wouldn't budge from MSRP. There are very few of them here in Minnesota and it's a supply and demand thing. Kirk
