Sorry, it looks like ALL Ford incentives have disclaimers that exclude hybrids. The best deal you can get is find a low APR credit union loan and get the tax credit. I ordered mine on 3/30 so I should receive the $3400 credit later. Kinecta has 3.74% APR on hybrids...if you have a branch nearby.

I'm disappointed that those of us who have NAV do not get the 3 year traffic/weather, instead only the 6-month Sirius subscription :(

I have 502A. Does that mean I have the option of Nav/weather through Sirius or Sync for the 6 month period or am I stuck with Sirius only?

When I got my FFH, the finance gal offered me 6yr/100k maintenance package for $1300 (originally $1400 but she tried to sweeten the offer). I said I'll think about it (have one year or 12k and still eligible for the package). If I look at the owner's manual, the FFH only requires oil changes and tire rotation until you get to 100k, where you change coolant and spark plugs. Is this worth it?

Quincy, quick question on mechanical wear and tear (since I'm more electrically oriented)...without an alternator how does the gas engine kick on? Also, since the gas engine goes on and off very frequently, does that have a negative effect on its lifespan vs regular car? Also, I think most of us believe that in order to get something we need to give something...what you listed are really compelling points, but what are some cons besides added initial cost of vehicle and possible performance?

So the build date is the actual date the vehicle is complete? I was under the impression that it is the day that the building begins. If I was thinking wrong, I'm pleasantly surprised and maybe see my car next week. CA VLF increase (~$180) starts May 19...

I think the electric parts (motor etc) and battery in CA is warrantied 10/150k, while the usual powertrain is 5/60k and bumper-bumper is 3/36k. Didn't hear about the exemption for smog checks but I hope it's true - we'll find out from DMV I guess.

I guess to clarify my question about the hardwiring: The command that controls AC (or heated seats, windows, locks, for that matter)from the Viper unit to the vehicle, does that come wirelessly or is there a hardwire connection that carries that request? How does the Viper get feedback on temperature info? Also, are there any units made for this vehicle to control power door locks and windows wirelessly (clone remote control commands - moot point if above question is answered I guess)?

Anyone know how long it takes for a car to be built? I guess by most accounts it takes anywhere between 18-25 man-hours but what does it mean in real time? My build date was 5/12. When do you think my "ready to ship" date is?

I'm getting my FFH end of the month. Supposedly build date is today. I'm thinking of installing the Viper 5901 because of what you said it can do here. I assume you have the MMH - Have you installed on yours? Is the immobilizer for remote start only or is it necessary to control other functions?. The remote window/moonroof and AC control are cool things to have also. Does the Viper control these functions through a hardwire connection to the car? Lastly, is the detection circuit you built commercially available? Thanks!

Ordered my White Tri-Coat on 3/30, verified 4/1 and got VIN/build date last week (week of 5/11 with estimated delivery of end of May) Anyone know where to get more detailed info progress of particular VIN?

I also got white platinum tri coat...paid extra but hopefully paint will last longer and retain value better. I wonder why cars.com and kbb.com removed this exterior color option. It's still in edmunds.com and fordvehicles.com

Good news (I guess). I was told today that my build date is 5/11/09 and expecting delivery to dealer around Memorial Day. I guess they will give me the VIN tomorrow.

Thanks robm15! If I use your timeline, I won't get mine until mid June :( or worse, depending how heavy the rush was on 3/30. This is disappointing...I guess I should get my VIN sometime very soon.
