Rattle from right rear seat/trunk area
FernMTL replied to Bing44's topic in 2017-Current Ford Fusion Hybrid
If it helps http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/11044-rear-rattles-at-high-speed/ -
With gas prices that low, Dealer's are battling to sell these cars. I've worked for Ford in 2013-2015 and i've seen Energi's sitting for months in parking lots. Go around dealers and ask for quotes, real quotes, and I wouldn't be surprised that you walk out with a brand new Fusion for a couple more grands than a use one. When I bought my Hybrid, the dealer almost thank me to get if off the inventory.

Nice to see the love you got for those cars. Here's a link for the antenna :http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9011-shark-fin-antenna-now-available/

Probably sure they come from the seat belt pillars. Didn't want to play there with the airbags. I just crank the music a bit more :) The problem with rattles is that you think you've isolated where it comes from but then it seems like It's coming from somewhere else. Best thing to turn you nuts haha.

No. I've removed the door panels, added sound dampening and It help. But the rattles are back :(

Is there something stuck in my brake pads?
FernMTL replied to usererror's topic in Brakes, Chassis, Suspension & Parking Aid
The rear bake calipers are set up that your pads are close to the disks. It's efficient for braking, as it respond right away, but for a lot of owner, you can hear a metal rubbing sound now and then. That happens when rust spots build up on your disks. Most of the time, I only hear that sound when I'm next to a wall, or passing a car as It rebounds the sound. -

iPhone Maps app doesn't play through SYNC
FernMTL replied to dysert's topic in 2013-2016 Fusion Hybrid
1. In your Map App, go to sound settings and log it to SYNC. You might have to do it every time you get in the car as some Apps don't switch automatically form phone to car. I use Plan and It works like a charm. 2. Have you log you car to the fordowner website? You might need a SYNC update. -

Driver's side DRL went out
FernMTL replied to machoman1337's topic in Glass, Headlights, Fog lamps, Lenses & Window Tint
Don't bother taking off your number ;). What I understand is that you don't actually have the relay harness installed? If no, It cost 20$ and your problem is over. -
Driver's side DRL went out
FernMTL replied to machoman1337's topic in Glass, Headlights, Fog lamps, Lenses & Window Tint
Normally, DRL's runs at 6V and 12v the rest of the time. To eliminate this problem, your relay as to be connected directly to your 12V battery to get constant 12v. Xenon bulb needs constant 12V and 23 000 Volts for a fraction of a second to trigger, that's what your ballasts (with integrated or exterior capacitor) are used for. That's why one of your bulb doesn't trigger sometimes, you're not getting enough power to the bulbs. On my previous car, I've plugged the relay directly to the 12 V car battery, then to the ballasts and bulbs. The relay as a wire that you can connect to the OEM bulb wire to get the signal (low-high). Your OEM bulb wires should never be use to get power to your ballasts. If you can take pictures of your setup, It would help us. -
Rear rattles at high speed
FernMTL replied to FernMTL's topic in Interior Trim, Seats, Seat Belts & Covers
Rattle FOUND!!!! If you look at the picture, I'm pointing the ''cardboard'' piece that was not placed properly. It was touching the metal body and was causing the rattle. I've replaced it behind the rubber seal and haven't hear the rattle since. A 2 seconds fix that took me months to find haha. -

You've install HID? One of your bulb or ballast is defective. The DRL use the main bulb, yours is now Xenon, so not covered by Ford. How is you HID setup? Relay-Ballast-Bulb? -
Future Window Tint - Ohio
FernMTL replied to JazzyCheeto's topic in Glass, Headlights, Fog lamps, Lenses & Window Tint
Where I'm from, you can't have more than 30% tint in the front windows. On my car, I did 50% front, 65% back and 80% back glass. The look is very fluid and never had a problem. -
I know that the New Explorer show you individual tire pressure (psi) in the left screen of the cluster. Pretty sure It will be on the Fusion.

Here's how I do it: Park the car in a way that the sun blast the engine bay. Use a regular water hose and gun (not high pressure machine). Shoot all the way around to get the most salt off. I don't shoot the engine/electric side. Let it dry in the sun and wipe off as most water as you can. Never had a problem so far and I've done it four times on the Hybrid.

Performance tire/wheel options to factory 'stock' tires?
FernMTL replied to labelboy68's topic in Wheels & Tires
I bought my car at a Ford Auction. I only got winter tires as my summer tire got stolen at the auction haha. I would say that the Pirelli P7 Cinturato are better than the Goodyear, as equal as the Michelin and Continental. But I'm pretty sure there're quieter though.- 22 replies

Upgrading the mid Fusion stereo (non Sony)
FernMTL replied to Darkside's topic in Audio, MyFord, Navigation & SYNC
For those who changed your front speakers, how is the wire setup? I received my front speakers form Crutchfield and want to hook it up the OEM, not adding an amp. The speakers were supposed to come with an harness, which after all the don't have. Is it possible to plug the new speaker on a + - wire as a basic installation? Or the ANC adds wires to the speaker terminals? -
Rear rattles at high speed
FernMTL replied to FernMTL's topic in Interior Trim, Seats, Seat Belts & Covers
Today I changed my tires ( winter rims to summer rims) and noticed a sound from the rear passenger suspension while jacking the car. When I ''shake the car'' with my hands, I can hear a squeaky noise coming from the suspension components, similar to what i hear in the car. My next oil change is for next month and I'll get it checked at the same time. Sounds like a faulty bushing. Rattle ''might'' be found. -
Rear rattles at high speed

I've been to two dealers for that problem, both wasn't able to help me. In fact, I think the Fusion as so many rattles, they just quit fixing them. :) This summer, I'll try to fix some of them. @Riggo: Read the last post of this thread, might help us: http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/10302-solved-trunk-rattle/?hl=%2Btrunk+%2Brattle
