  1. I got my $775.00 check today for my 2013 FFH that I bought used, My girlfriend received two checks for the two 2013 C max's that she bought used; her first C max was totaled in an accident.
  2. I have a 2013 FFH and my girlfriend owns a 2013 C max, both are great cars but feel worlds apart. The acceleration feel pretty much the same (good in both) but my fusion is much quieter and the fusion feels like a much tighter car ( for lack of a better description) but the visibility in the C max is outstanding. I think both cars are a home run for there intended mission. We both average between 43.5 and 44.5 MPG since we purchased the cars. As a side note; my girlfriends first C max was totaled about three months ago, a truck pulled into her lane while she was traveling about 60 mph, the impact was brutal but she was very well protected and all four door still opened with ease, I hope the Fusion can withstand such a hit with equal results.
  3. In my 2013 FFH I have not experienced a single mechanical problem with the MFD or any lock-ups, my issues are with the maddening voice interface , thus forcing me to take my eyes off the road to focus on a touch screen to find the exact place to touch. On my 2012 Focus SFE with the non-MFD Sync system, the system has locked up on many occasions, but has not required any replacement parts.
  4. First off, I am and always have been a huge Ford fan, I am not a fan of CR, never have been, BUT, I have to agree with CR on this one; I bought a 2012 focus and decided not to get a MFD because of my experience with my mom's 2010 FFH, it's was just horrible. I recently bought a slightly used 2013 FFH ( with My ford touch and navigation) and I absolutely love this car; everything that is, except the MFD, it is absolutely maddening much of the time, I just can't understand how that with all the updates that this system has had, that it is still so horrible and that Ford has stuck with the crappy system. My $130.00 Garmin voice activated GPS works so much better, and I have never read the instructions for the Garmin. Common sense should have told Ford to have all the primary HVAC and radio controls should be as simple as possible and with nobs and buttons, the MFD should only be needed for more in depth adjustments and preferences. The primary function of the MFD should be to display the information and as the back-up camera display and of course the navigation. Like I said from the beginning, I love Ford and I adore my FFH, but Ford deserves 100% of the criticism that they have received for crappy system and I hope that the present owners will continue to get updates that will hopefully make this system somewhat acceptable in the future.
  5. I have thought for many years that adding all wheel drive to a front wheel drive full hybrid would be far more practical than with drive shafts, differentials and the associated clutches and such; in a hybrid the second drive axel would be totally electric of course and only kick in when traction was poor ( much like Ford's present all wheel drive system). It would seem to me that this would be the MOST practical way to design a hybrid pick-up truck, the front axel in the truck would be electric though. I would be surprised if this is not the arrangement when Ford does indeed produce a hybrid truck.
  6. The cold weather could certainly be a factor, especially if you make short trips from a cold start. I purchased a used 2013 fusion hybrid with 17 k miles on the odometer a month ago, the car had achieved an average of about 37 point something mpg's when I bought the car, I reset the mileage when I left the dealership, to date, my average is 44.0 mpg so far, I certainly expect the mileage to go up as the spring weather rolls around; also, no one would ever accuse me of being a slow driver . These cars are very sensitive to driving style though, there are many driving tips on this forum describing how to best take advantage of the cars unique capabilities, just know upfront that you do NOT have to drive like a granny to achieve great gas mileage.
  7. This part is now on national backorder, with no projected delivery date, I'm not happy.
