I keep seeing all these TSB in april which is the month mine was built but I cant find the exact build date. Is there a website? I see the people saying its on the window stick from the ford site but for mine its not.

Ill have to look at mine tonite. The color and everything made me think LED. But than again I do have almost a fully loaded one compared to most ive even seen on the lots (was a special order for someone who died before it came in)

The kind of insulation I would want would be engine compartment and that would be prettyhard to do.

Heres a small correction about the UV. There are 2 types of UV. UV-A and UV-B.. Standard glass blocks most of the UV-A.. Cheap tint (even limo) doesnt change it much. Neither block much of any of the UV-B (Difference in a UV protectant sunglasses and a polarized (polarized does both). They make some window tints that do A and B. Wincos is actually one that does. Any dealer that sells that has a demo with a huge sun grow light (the really hot ones) You can see the difference in standard glass, standard limo tint, and than the super light winces tint. You can feel 1-2% of the heat from the light when the limo you can still feel around 70%.

Can I ask here how come you guys dont just put in the MKZ led setup?

I could have sworn the SE hybrid that i had to goto memphis and back (rental) had a touchscreen. Was the same little baby screen too. unless they offer other options in that same size.

I would have gotten the energi if it could have competed with the volt. But the range is very low and the extra weight makes it get alot worse mpg on gas than a standard hybrid. And no the volt turned out to be a dead option for me. I know someone who has one and loves it but all its technology is under the hood not inside where i can see it and use it :)

Anybody else noticed that when the ICE comes on at lower speeds its loud and noisy but at 40+ mph you can barely hear it as the noise canceling is louder? Than again I dont know if the fusions system works quite as good as my MKZ as I have read its quieter all around inside. I know they know the frequency of the sounds the ICE makes so im sure they could do something.

After seeing this im glad to see that the fix was issued on all builds after 4-14. Mine got the window sticker printed on 4-19 so i know its clean. Hopefully the same date applys on the MKZ as id guess there the same factory.

Has anybody else seen this or do you think maybe one of my sensors are bad?

I always thought active and passive were the difference in a car stopping and not. When I picked up my car I actually had someone slam on there brakes in front of me. When the car started beeping I had no clue wtf was beeping. When I saw the guy in front of me I def had a o-shit moment and I stopped about 2ft off there ass on a highway. My friend audi has the same thing and will throw u thru the windsheild if your not buckled up. My guess is if a cheapo VW or kia minivan will stop itself. Our cars do too. After all, its trying to preserve its life. lol System has nothing to do with adaptive cruise control tho I dont believe. Just uses the same sensors. Even if the braking system just slows itself to 20mph hoping you realize to put your foot on the brake by that point.

Getting my update wendsday so hopefully all sticks with the first update for me.

The air bubbles comment. If you want to see something crazy in that aspect look at a 2000 vw beetle. There is a little button inside the top of the fuel filler you press (on the diesel atleast). When you press it goes WOOOSH really loud. And if you fill while holding that down it takes ANOTHER 7 GALLONS. I did find after giving about a 5 second wait i could put another 0.6gallons in my car. So maybe that is true. Im going wendsday morning for the PCM update so i guess it will have to start learning everything again since i heard the ev+ stuff gets reset. Dont know much about it yet myself. Is there also a break-in period on the battery? I know like some cell phones they seem to work better after a little while before they go downhill.

I was suppost to get a 2014 but the dealer the car was coming from changed there mind and wanted a raptor truck for an even trade on it. Told us that they wanted to sell it for $5000 over sticker after they found out it was going to be sold as a x-plan. On there website the had the car marked down like $1500 already. Ended up with a 2013 MKZ tho, very happy with it. Better looking wheels too.

I keep seeing pictures of people who have a screen up on the left showing how much power the AC is using. I cant find that screen for nothing. Can anybody direct me to it? I installed the newest mytouch update before looking for it so I hope its not gone.

Alright, atleast I know its not just me. Do you know if the gas engine has a break-in period too that better milage comes out of it? It seems like whenever its on when moving im around 20mpg.

I got a brand new MKZ hybrid with 200miles. I filled it up till it clicked plus another half gallon just now and its telling me 348miles on a full tank. Just doing the tank size times the current average it says next to the DTE is 33.6mpg it should be alot more. Almost 100miles more. I gave it some time on the first tank and sure enough it didnt change from the first full tank till now. Is this something that takes time to adapt? I dont have the new update on my car yet and will get that sometime next week. But thats just MPG improvements not something that would make the DTE calculation wrong.
