  1. SC is generally the state with the lowest prices. I can drive 15 to 20 miles from home (myrtle beach area) and see real differences often. Regardless, when it goes up here, folks suffer since the per capita income, based on tourism, is pretty low.
  2. It is not a battery, but a capacitor. Not anywhere near being ready for consumer use. A capacitor stores energy, but in a much different way than a battery. Thus, it can charge very quickly. heat is not an issue, as it would be in a quick charge battery.

    Floor Mats

I clean car mats with some stuff I get at Home Depot. It's a degreaser, and absolutely takes out anything from mats or carpet. I scrub them on the driveway, after getting them wet, then rinse thoroughly after scrubbing with a stiff brush. It even removes dried road tar that is smeared in deeply. It's called Greased Lightening and comes in a yellow 32 oz spray bottle.

OK, thanks! Just ordered the medium grey for my black interior. Can't wait. I have looked everywhere locally and nothing comes close.
  5. You have station attendants? I thought that was only in New Jersey. These must be the only two states left.
  6. You and Tim the Toolman. He turbo charged his washing machine!
  7. I have for many years driven under the going rate, that is to say if the speed limit is 45, and most are driving 60, i don't exceed 50. If it is 55 I don't exceed 60. Now, that's not to say that I don't enjoy some spirited driving at times, but I use my cruise a LOT, and try to get good mileage most of the time. I am lucky to live where gas prices are consistently the lowest in the country. No sure why, but tax on gas here is VERY low, kind of like cigarette taxes. this week prices haven't really changed from the 3.20 to 3.25 range. I am in the area of, but not in, Myrtle Beach SC.
  8. My rates for the FFH are actually almost exactly the same as my 2004 Maxima! I was kind of amazed actually. I think there are a number of reasons for this, not the least of which includes the many safety features compared to an older model. In any even event, I was very pleased. The are actually in some areas less than my 2006 Mustang GT convert!
  9. 97%? In a week? Really? OK, jealous here. Going on 3 now and have confidence at about 75%. Good Going!!

  12. I would think that Ford engineers took into consideration the fact that their 10,000 mile oil change recomendation is appropriate for an engine that does not run all the time like a normal internal combustion car engine. don't you think? Also, I know that synthetic oil is very long lasting, and am not worried about what seems like a long interval. Heck, on a high performance engine I have seen 7500 mi change dates. Car restorers I know, who drop in some big block stuff also aren't afraid to go 10,000 mi. Just had to add my 2 pennies worth to this endless topic!
  13. Saw a Titanium this afternoon, at the gardens where I volunteer. Nice looking car!
  14. Next year I take the mufflers off my Mustang GT and drive around rapping them near the bikers, when they are eating at an outdoor cafe!
  15. Well, that just seems like a hateful thing to do! Those of us with black leather want some love too
  16. Let me send you my address. I could use a few of them! I like the 3M product too, which is good on my Mustang seats. Never heard of anyone getting free stuff like this. Let us know if you figure out why it is happening.
  17. Oh, absolutely, and, let Trina or Eric at Ford know, plus be sure to note it thoroughly on the survey you will get from Ford
  18. Unbelievable that they added on, after you ordered. I might contact your Attorney General about their business practices, and definitely get a report to the BBB. Wow, what crap!
  19. manual zoom? way cool! Got to try spying on my neighbor now
  20. Did not know that about the moon roof. Cool!
  21. I am quite satisfied with the Sony system, but I am sure if you find a local car audio shop they could certainly do more with the bass. I have noticed that this car is quiet, not just because of the battery power, but overall. We just finished a Harley bike rally here, and I noticed the noise was less intrusive than usual. Of course, the way to appreciate it if you don't ride is to take the convertible down to the rally area and enjoy!

    ECO Cruise

I only use Eco cruise, and the fact that it has a leisurely response is all part pf the driving smarter not harder for me.
  23. Two Harbors is a spectacular area of the country! Also, on the shore of Superior few bugs, unlike in the woods. Here we are removing large gators from my neighborhood this week. One 7 footer gone, and one 10 foot to go.
