  1. You might have better luck getting a response if you would post this under the Wheels and Tires subject on this forum
  2. Mileage data - The following is just my personal experience and not meant to imply what everyone should be getting I currently drive a 2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid which has the same hybrid drive train as the FFH. My usual daily commute is 18 miles each way on two lane roads with speed limits of 45 to 55 MPH. I have been keeping MPG stats on a monthly basis using the cars reported mileage and the gallons pumped each month. My best month has been 45.1 MPG and the lowest month has been 40.6 MPG. I don't try any hyper mileing tricks and usually drive with the climate control on Auto and Adaptive Cruise engaged and let the car/computer decide what s best. Before the Lincoln I had a 2013 FFH and had similar results with it. I do see a drop[ in mileage to 35-39 MPG when I take a trip on interstates with 70 MPH limit. My current actual lifetime mileage after 43,632 miles on the MKZH is 42.7 MPG.
  3. The stop and go assist is not exclusive to the Fusion. I have it on my 2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid and love it. the first few times you use it it is a little unnerving- "Is it going to stop?" but it always does.
  4. Pretty typical. My 2013 FFH after 63k miles varied from 1.2 to 4.5. My current vehicle, a 2017 Lincoln MKZ (the same hybrid power train) after 28k miles varies from 0.9 to 2.8. I am not aware of any calibration adjustments available.
  5. I had a 2013 FFH that had the up and down arrows indicating battery charging or discharging. I now have a 2017 Lincoln MKZ hybrid and one thing I first noticed was that there are no longer the up and down battery charging symbols on the left display. I assume this was a change Ford made to the 2017 software but have no idea why they made this particular change.
  6. ` Not sure what the correct technical answer is, but if you already have ten of them, why not just go ahead and put ma new one on each time. Your good for another 100,00 miles based on the 10k mile oil change mileage for the FFH.
  7. When I had my 2013 FFH I added my own LED strip below the headlight. I found some edge LED strips at Walmart that worked just fine and fit easily in the gap below the headlight cover.
  8. Similar experience with my former FFH and my current Lincoln MKZ hybrid. My experience is to sit back and enjoy the ride and not worry about a few tenths MPG. Let the car's computer, ECO mode on, be the worry wart and just relax and enjoy. My FFH lifetime MPG after 60k miles was 46.5 based on gas receipts, not the car's computer. My current MKZ mileage (actual) is 43.5 mpg after 15k Miles.
  9. Back when I had my 2013 FFH I had something similar happen when I got in the car, started it and put it in Drive. I suspect I was just in too big a hurry and selected Drive before the ready to drive notice came up on the left screen. Did a restart and all was well again.
  10. If this is so, I wonder why there are no prominent markings on the Lincoln MKZ Hybrid? The only indicator on the MKZ is a small H on the trunk lid.

Don't have an answer to your problem but just a suggestion. You might get a better response to the issue if you would post it in a more relevant section of this forum such as the Fusion Hybrid Powertrain section.

Agree. That is where the 36.2 number came from. Saw the same skew with the Fusion. High speeds put a good dent in the mileage. As far as the weather comment, it should be getting cooler but here today it was in the low 80's! It has been a warm prolonged fall here.

    MPG Happy Talk

About two months ago I traded my 2013 FFH (Job 1) for a 2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid. Just thought I would share my FFH mileage experience. When I traded the FFH it had 63,000 miles with a cumulative lifetime mileage of 45.7 MPG (actual MPG, not car's computer mileage which was a little over 2 MPG better.). The best tank MPG was 57.4 and the lowest was 36.1. The majority of my miles were 18 mile one way commutes 5-6 times per week, mostly local 2 lane highways and city streets. Most of the time I used ACC and let the cars computer decide the most efficient way to go. Just enjoyed the ride and did not get caught up in hyper-miling for a few more MPG's. Overall I was very pleased with the FFH and the mileage I achieved. Although it was a job 1 car, it was trouble free for me. Like the new MKZ so far with my mileage at 42.3 MPG after about 4700 miles which included one 1200 mile highway trip with speeds at 70-75 MPH. Best tank so far has been 46.6 MPG and the lowest 36.2MPG.
  14. I used to have a 2013 FFH with collision warning that would trigger a warning when a car ahead of you would slow and make a right turn. The warning usually came when it was apparent the car was out of your way. As some have posted, just hit the accelerator pedal and press on. I now own a 2017 Lincoln MKZ, Hybrid also with the collision warning system. I still get the same "false" alarms when the car ahead makes a right turn. In my experience I see no difference between the older 2013 system and the one in the 2017 MKZ. Its just something you have to get used to and if you see the car ahead is not a threat simply add a little throttle to cancel the warning.. The warning system is still worth having in my opinion as it occasionally does give you a valid alert and "wakes" you up in time to avoid the problem.
  15. Not all 2013 batteries were bad. My Job 1 FFH, which I just recently traded for my current car, 2017 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid, had just over 63,000 miles and I never had any battery saver message nor any kind of 12V battery issue. By the way, good to hear from the "Coach". He was a frequent forum contributor until he took delivery of his FFH and then he "disappeared". Since you never posted anything until this battery issue popped up, I assume the car was a good one up til this time. Mine sure was. No problems whatever unlike some other 2013 Job 1 owners.
