I was thinking of getting my windows tinted (not super dark) when I get my white platinum,the law here only allows a very light tinting. I always wondered about what happens to the back window when you tint a car, specifically the rear defrost wires. If you need to take the tinting off does do rear defrost wires peel off as well, ruining the defrost?

 

I have had two cars windows tinted and the view from the back is fine. Be careful to only go as dark as the law allows.

Saw a blue gas Ti and a black gas Ti yesterday. The larger rims on the Ti look really nice! As well as the integrated exhaust into the bumper. On pre-production drawings of the Hybrid Ti Ford indicated that the hybrid would also get that at the Ti trim, but the Energi Ti they had at the Mpls Auto Show did not have integrated exhaust, it had the same bumper we have on the SE

The HyTi is the same, they didnt do the twin pipes as the gas Ti which is kind of dumb. The twin pipes really set the Ti apart from the SE/S models.

Man, they were everywhere today. I took my car to the car wash and there was a gray one there. On the way home I saw a ruby red and then another gray just a few cars after it. Starting to get very popular.

Am seeing more and more 2013 Fusions on the road. We have three in our neighborhood! On our trip to Vegas in early March, finally saw the Bordeaux Red one up close (very pretty). On that trip we also saw several Sterling Gray like ours, a Deep Impact Blue, a couple whites, a couple blacks, a couple Ingot Silvers, Still haven't seen a Ruby Red or Ice Storm one. Sorry if you have one, but the Gingerale one IMHO is the ugliest color you could get. Saw one that color when visiting Joshua Tree National Park in February - yuk!

I had a 1993 Saturn SL2 that had the defrost in the back window. I had the windows tinted before we took delivery, and I did end up having the back window redone several years later when the film started to bubble. There was no problem with the defrost embedded into the window when they did the retint.

Nooooooooooo! I don't want my car to be as common as a Camry.

 

You will NEVER have to worry about this. I actually tried to count the number of Camrys on the road versus Fusions. A staggering 90 Camrys to 14 Fusions, and 1 Ford GT40 :shift: ! Of those 14 I did manage to see 3 new Fusions on the road. Most were the '10-'12 models.

Saw a Blue Fusion Hybrid at a train station yesterday and a Blue non H today. Starting to see more of them, however in the City of Chitcago yesterday 90% of the taxis were either Prius or Camry Hybrids. I saw 1 Fusion Hybrid, Gen I.

What was even cooler though was seeing a Tesla Model S. That's the first I've seen in MN. Those cars look so cool

Parked right next to an Oxford white hybrid today at dinner time. Took a quick look inside; the owner had the charcoal luxury interior. I like my Dune. It's a nice looking car in any color, though.

 

I see a Tesla every now and then when I go to this one shopping center that's in a swanky part of town. That is a very sharp looking car!

I did a 700 mile roundtrip to So. Calif over the weekend. I was looking, and I didn't spot one other Fusion. This was a surprise since they appear to be selling very well in this area. I did see a lot of Kia Optimas. We have a favorite shopping street in San Clemente. In past years, I usually saw many of the latest new luxury cars parked on the street. This weekend, however, the sight of any new car was very rare. A sign of the economic times, I guess.

I saw a few today, including either a Ruby or Bordeaux red one. Its the most I have seen in one day, which means they are selling OK around here. When you considered the hundreds of cars going through one area, and a new car that has only been out 7 months, and 3 different ones in one day, not bad.

1 black 1.6l EB this morning, driving side by side was fun

1 platinum white and 1 black on the way home but both non hybrid's

 

... and as stated many times here already all of them awesome looking.

Saw the first ever other 13 FFH I've seen today. It was an exact clone of mine, oxford white with 17" wheels. I drove up along side her then she got behind me and turned. We were like hybrid buddies for a minute...

It has been crazy with Fusion sightings for me the last two days.

 

I had a white FFH following me half way to work yesterday morning.

On the way home I had a black FF following me after I got off the freeway almost all the way home. While driving behind each other there was another one going to opposite direction.

And this morning I passed a regular FF in blue on the the interstate.

 

And then there are Prius drivers; one particular that got really angry yesterday when he couldn't fit between me and a semi to be at the next red light 5 seconds before everyone else.

I had a brand new one parked in the spot directly next to me in my condo garage this morning. I wanted to be the first kid on the block with one!! :cry:

Mmhh now that you mentioned it; both Fusions were driving by to mid age guys with sunglasses and maybe even a suit.
