klatoo Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Slightly elevated aluminum, iron, copper, silicon and fuel dilution. Anyone else have Blackstone figures for a 2013 FFH?
Griswald Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Your graphic doesn't tell how much the 3 items were over accepted. What are the accepted numbers? What brand oil? Love to see the whole page.
klatoo Report post Posted February 13, 2015 The aluminum is over by 10 (result 13, avg 3), iron over by 25, (result 35, avg 10), copper over by 23 (result 27, avg 4), silicon over by 10 (result 20, avg 10). Motor oil was Motorcraft 10W-30, have no clue why Ford Dealer put this in, but they did and I hate having to sit up there all day while they changed the oil back to 5w-20 as the service manager was offering. Griswald Report post Posted February 13, 2015 Your numbers are not being compared to a true actual amount. Even on the form, it states not to use the average numbers because they represent all of the same oil in similar motors. I don't see anywhere on Blackstones forms that give acceptable numbers. The topp part should look just like thew bottom part... Your value in one column and the acceptable level in the second column, like this Silver 10 3 - 8 Cat Fur 49 <
klatoo Report post Posted February 13, 2015 True The far right column states "universal averages," and what those are I'm unsure of.
acdii Report post Posted February 14, 2015 The real thing to look at in the report are their recommendations. They usually give a short statement on what they found.
md13ffhguy Report post Posted February 14, 2015 This seems somewhat meaningless, considering it's an analysis of the incorrect oil. 2 corncobs and SteveB_TX reacted to this
