hikyuuri Report post Posted November 30, 2014 I recently started using my heated stearing wheel instead of gloves. I did this because the gloves I use are not compatible with the buttons on the radio. What I have noticed though is the temperature of the wheel varies drastically. Some times, its almost uncomfortably hot, then it feels like it turns off and cools down to nothing, then gets really hot again. Is this normal, or should it be maintaining a more consistant temperature?
Darkside Report post Posted December 1, 2014 Well I don't know if it is normal, but mine behaves the same.

jpohlman Report post Posted October 1, 2020 The temp of the wheel is based on a value in the Heated Steering Wheel (HSW) and the cutoff is based on the resistance of a thermal resistor in the wheel itself. The factory temp for a 2014-2015 is 68º, they raised it later to 92º for 2016+.
