murphy Report post Posted November 18, 2014 Wow that's some mpg. How do you do it. Is your house down hill from 2 directions? That's not MPG, it's MPGe. It's an Energi which uses no gasoline at all when the weather is warm and I don't have to go more than 25 miles between charges.I'm in the hybrid forum because my previous car was a 2010 Hybrid and I didn't leave the forum when I got the 2013 Energi. 1 corncobs reacted to this

Easy Rider Report post Posted November 19, 2014 But more generically, I'm talking about all the regulations like CAFE, emissions, crash and so on that Ford has to subsidize in order to be able to legally sell vehicles. Ford does not "have" to subsidize anything to sell cars. The are screwing their customers with $800 GPS systems because the customers sit still for it......and it helps keep the profit margins higher. Alas, all of the car companies seem to be doing much the same thing.
FordIVTteam Report post Posted November 19, 2014 Kim, Then why is the map on the HERE website correct as to the location of my house, which was built in 1957, but the the map in the car has no clue where my house is located. They are republishing old maps at a fancy price. I don't buy it. It's a rip off plain and simple. If you look at the POI table on the back of the letter I received they removed a huge number of POIs. Not that it matters since I have no use for POIs. My best recommendation for updating incorrect or missing map data is to make sure it is listed accurately on this website: www.Here.Com/mapcreator Since it sounds like you've already verified this, I recommend reaching out to HERE at: 1-888-628-6277 if you have any other questions about a specific map update. Kim: Im sorry I just do not buy that more complexity argument. Its just a map update nothing more. My stand alone gps has more than 12 million POI's nobody even knows how many the Ford one has, I doubt its even 1 million. On the road I searched for Waffle house restaurant and it found typically less than 1/4 the ones my stand alone found., I drove by most of them untill I started using my stand alone. Also It doesn't even have 1/2 the gas stations and stores around here. In addition my map still says I'm driving on an unmapped area or what ever that message is. Google has updated street view at least 3 times since I bought this house in 2007 which was built in 1962 and the road has been here since the 20's and has been paved since then. Not to mention it doesn't have 1/2 the custom-ability as my stand alone does. If I can figure out how to mount a 7" GPS on a swing down mount in front of the screen I will buy one. I like the backup camera but sure wish I could get a refund for the GPS. Another point, Ford sells them for $150 and I just bought a A5 card off Ebay for $55 and there are many sellers selling for between $60 and $100 Hi larrylwill, The best way to make sure you are getting the recommended map update for your vehicle is by purchasing from: www.Navigation.com or a Ford dealership (in some cases). I do not recommend purchasing an update through any 3rd party companies (such as Ebay). Kim
larrylwill Report post Posted November 19, 2014 I just plugged in my A5 card, there are some new things including showing my driveway, I also noticed that it shows all the driveways that were there BEFORE 1990 or so, any after that date do not show, I still get the " Incomplete map data " when imputing a destination from my house. Kim: I have verified that this is a true A5 update card. Its also in the same packaging that comes from Ford. Besides if it wasn't I could send it back and get my money back. $55 money back guarantee vrs $150 and no guarantee or return option, is a no brainier.Larry
