TonyHzNV Report post Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) Thanks Hybridbear. Good to know I'm not the only one having issues with MSIE. I'll see if I can find that thread you mentioned and leave them a nice little comment. Merry Christmas! Edited December 25, 2014 by TonyHzNV
Easy Rider Report post Posted December 25, 2014 Sorry, didn't mean to get everyone riled up, but it REALLY did happen as I said the first time. Guess I worded a response poorly yet again. IF the problem continues, that is it's not a matter of the voice recognition re-learning your speech patterns, and it's not a matter of them changing the required syntax (as determined by reviewing the current list of commands).......... Then I agree that it sucks and should be escalated up the chain at Sync development.I would not bet too heavily on anybody really caring though since it seems that Ford and MS have parted ways on software development. Easy Rider Report post Posted December 25, 2014 I did my update this morning. Overall very smooth; better than I expected. It looks like you don't lose your history or favorites in the Nav. and the radio presets survived too.It also gives you visual and verbal progress reports......but not continuously. There was one point about 10 minutes in that it appeared to be locked up but wasn't;eventually took off again.Total time: maybe a little less than 30 minutes. I forgot to log the start time.Overall very good. P.S. Do NOT erase your thumb drive before using it to report back that the process was successful !!! tr7driver Report post Posted December 26, 2014 Yes all user settings will be lost (not sure about radio presets; that might not be affected). As for installing on a 2013 model of anything.......please let us know how that works out. ;)I won't install it on anhything for a few more weeks so I can get some feedback from the early adaptors. I'm trying to figure out how to get a backup copy of the current version before I try to install it on the 2013. Anyone got a copy of V3.6.2 on a thumb drive they would share? FordIVTteam Report post Posted December 28, 2014 HI Kim, yes I can press the down arrow to scroll through the entire list. The problem is the "entire list" is now my entire library beginning with the letter "A". Before, when I said "browse artist Santana", the list was only Santana albums in alpha order as it should be/was. Whoever made this change screwed it up and needs to put it back like it was. PRETTY PLEASE! ☺ Update 12/24/14, 6 PM: I went out to the garage a little bit ago and played around with my system to see if anything else was acting up. In the process, I used the [browse] button on the touchscreen to browse around instead of the voice command and everything seemed to be working OK, so I tried the voice command again and it started working right again. I was just getting ready to report another problem and that was that after using the command [uSB] then [browse Artist Santana], the system responded with [browse Artist Santana] then brought up on the touch screen the tabbed screen I mentioned before with [All Artists] at the top of the list with every artist in my iPod listed in alpha order. So, I selected the [T - Z] tab then scrolled up to find Santana (faster than searching UP to "S" from the previous tab). I selected "Santana" which brought up the list of all Santana albums, I selected an album (Abraxas) which took me to the list of songs on the album. I then selected the first song to play the album and then......nothing. I pressed it numerous times and it never played the song. I tried this with several different artists with the same result. But, like I said, it's working right again and I don't know why. Maybe it had something to do with the "manual" browsing I did. I don't know and probably never will. All I know is it happened and at first I thought I was crazy. That's why I tried it with several other artists. Oh well, sorry Kim! Im happy to hear that you can browse through the songs correctly again. Are you saying that you're not able to actually play the song once you find it because nothing happens after selecting it on the touchscreen? I won't install it on anhything for a few more weeks so I can get some feedback from the early adaptors. I'm trying to figure out how to get a backup copy of the current version before I try to install it on the 2013. Anyone got a copy of V3.6.2 on a thumb drive they would share?Hi tr7driver, Once the software has been updated, you will not have the option to revert back to a previous version. TonyHzNV Report post Posted December 28, 2014 (edited) Im happy to hear that you can browse through the songs correctly again. Are you saying that you're not able to actually play the song once you find it because nothing happens after selecting it on the touchscreen?Hi, Kim. Yes, I am saying that when this happened, I was not able to actually play the song once I found it because nothing happened after selecting it on the touchscreen. Usually you get that "loading" message and then the song starts playing. That didn't happen. I tried selecting every song on the album, but nothing worked. Then I used the [browse] button on the touchscreen, selected [Music] from the list, then browsed to [The Beatles], selected an album, then selected the first song in the list to start playback and it started working. Then I pressed the Sync button on the steering wheel and got the prompt "Sync, please say a command" to which I replied "USB". Sync replied "USB, please say a command". I responded with "Play album America". Sync responded "There are no albums on the device. Please say a command." At that point I got frustrated and turned everything off and came back into the house. Sync seems to be working very intermittently for me since the update. Very frustrating. In a related note, if I disconnect my iPod and bring it into the house for something then plug it back in to the car, the car may or may not recognize it. At first I thought I might have a bad iPod cable, so I got some new ones and still had the same problem. I'm taking my car to my dealer tomorrow to have the USB ports checked out (and have my Daylight Running Lights enabled :) ). Hopefully, it's an easy fix. I've heard about misbehaving USB ports, so I'll let you know. P.S. Did you see my post #33 here: http://fordfusionhybridforum.com/topic/9482-nav-map-updates/page-2. No one every replied. Thanks! Easy Rider Report post Posted December 28, 2014 I have noticed a couple of "new" things that I like with the new version and one thing that I do NOT like. Backup camera cuts off immediately upon leaving R; GOOD. Looks like the "surround" setting might stick now. It survived the update. GOOD. Do NOT like how the "information" is displayed along with the text enabled FM radio station songs. It looks like the radio station ID (name) now appears in large letters on the bottom of the box and the song title and artist appear in tiny little letters at the top. NOT GOOD.

TonyHzNV Report post Posted December 31, 2014 Well, I had my dealer check my USB ports a couple days ago as I mentioned above and they told me that they were fine but that after the (3.7) update, MFT doesn't "like" the older iPods anymore (I have a 160GB iPod classic that's about half full). So, I put a lot of music from my library onto USB drives and plugged them into the car and everything seems to work fine with MFT again. Browse seems to be working correctly again too. Keep in mind, Sync WILL NOT PLAY back music that is DRM protected from a USB drive.
Easy Rider Report post Posted December 31, 2014 (edited) Can you please post a picture of this? I'm having trouble visualizing what you are describing. Thanks! It might not be any different than it was with the old version. I noticed it on a new radio station.......which is transmitting ADVERTISING where the song/artist/album information should be.That frosts my........!!! When the audio screen is full screen, on the left side is a sub-section that has, I think, the station frequency in the middle in fairly large type. Some of the sub-carrier text is displayed above that (small text) and some below (larger text on 2 lines). The stations that do it the way it was originally intended put the artist and song title where it shows up on the bottom in the large text. I can do a pic later if necessary. Edited December 31, 2014 by Easy Rider

Index will finally rebuild and work for a few weeks and then for no reason just start indexing again. This iPod never gets unplugged from the Fusion.Yeah, I've had that problem too. No rhyme nor reason, all of a sudden the iPod isn't even recognized as being connected. It just says "no devices connected" or something like that. Then all of a sudden it works again. Go figure. The browse voice command used to work fine with the iPod but it's hit and miss now (see my earlier posts #125 & #135 to Kim, the ford IVT rep). Why can't it just work like it used to? corncobs Report post Posted December 31, 2014 One reason could the battery safer shutdown without seeing it. I have seen the same with my SD card that for no apparent reason Sync can't find it or it starts indexing and rebuilding the voice commands.
decypher44 Report post Posted January 1, 2015 Just wanted to chime in. Updated to 3.7 today on my 14FFHT today. Took about 15 minutes. Smooth with no issues. Only thing lost were my wallpapers (still had them on a thumb drive, so 2 mins to load them all back), and my iphone un-paired (big deal - less than a minute). Everything else kept. Nav memory, Sirius station presets, everything else stayed where they were. Very impressed with the process! This was my first time updating a car. Amazing what we can do nowadays. 2 TonyHzNV and hybridbear reacted to this

Thanks in advance. :) and, Happy New Year! Here are simple instructions for adding wallpaper to MFT. The My Ford Touch wallpapers can be gif, jpg, png, and bmp with a maximum file size of 1.5MB.Wallpaper Dimensions are 800px x 384px. 1. Load the wallpaper images on a USB Drive. 2. Insert the USB Device into the USB port in the central console (under the armrest) 3. Select the Settings Options 4. Select Display Options 5. Select Edit Wallpaper 6. Select "Add" and then from your USB device select what images you would like to import. This will just copy the images from your USB drive into the MFT system 7. Once the files have been uploaded, press the back arrow and then highlight the image you want and select Save. 8. Select the Home button and you should see your image now appear! Here is a link that you can use. http://focusmftwallpapers.tumblr.com/ And there are many more.
