Check is in the mail

Recommended Posts

I hadn't heard of this issue until I got a letter from Ford in the mail. While I appreciate their forthcoming attitude, I feel like reimbursing me for the difference in gas milage is insufficient. I bought and paid for my fusion and the MPG re-evaluation diminishes the value of the product I paid for. I feel I should be compensated for the value lost on my car, not just the extra gas it cost me. Has anybody else looked in to this?

The diminished value of the car is exactly the extra gas it will use. Nothing else is affected.

There is a major whiner on the Lincoln forums complaining at every turn about Lincoln false advertising, diminished value, blah blah blah. He boasts about suing Ford and Lincoln over it. Mostly all members of those forums have placed him in their ignore list. What other 4 door 4000 lb sedan gets 38 or 40+ MPG? I agree with talmy. Take the check and enjoy your car. :)

I assumed that I would not get the money since I'm the second owner, I'm not holding my breath, but I checked Etis, and the 14B03 is listed. So, I'm curious.

I would call customer service and see if you're listed as the owner of that VIN.

Read the above posts and you'll see that Ford is sending them out in batches by vehicle type. C-Max Energi, C-Max Hybrid & MKZh owners have received checks so far. Fusion Hybrid & Fusion Energi owners have not.

The Ford press release states all checks will be sent out BEFORE September 30 2014. Be patient. :)

Edited to correct BEFORE date. :)

Got my check by FedEx, yesterday.

Wow! You're the first FFH owner who didn't buy using A/Z plan to get a check and report it here. I'm guessing that hermans got his check early because he bought with A/Z plan and Ford made sure to take care of their employees first in sending out the checks.

We got our first check. It was delivered by FedEx on 7/31 but we didn't get notification from our apartment office that we had a package until today. The letter inside is dated 7/28. Based on the tracking number it left Ford's office in Michigan on 7/29 and arrived at our apartment on 7/31.

This is for the white FFH based on the VIN on the letter. I wonder how far behind the check for the black FFH will be...

They just slipped it under the Welcome mat, rang the door bell, and ran! :)

Does anyone know if they are using a claim processing company to send these checks or are they coming from Ford Directly? I have an incoming Fed Ex from a company in MI that is due to arrive tomorrow. Hoping this is the check

My FedEx envelope has Ford Motor Company as the sender, although it is a Farmington Hills MI address. Wherever that is! ;)
