Unfortunately my wife did test out the 911 assist back in February in the MKT. She didn't even know about the feature and only a few days later did she realize that the voices she had heard in the background was actually the car calling 911.

 

By the time she had run around the car and taken the kids out, the ambulance arrived. Note if you are going to crash, it does help to do it half a mile away from an ambulance station.

I had a crash in 2009 with my 2010 Fusion. It was a pretty severe crash and when I came out out of the fog I could hear 911 assist asking me if I needed an ambulance.

You had your MKT wrecked, I had my Flex wrecked, both in February. 911 assist worked.
