KLH Report post Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) During my morning commute, I got this message... I must have been driving near the lines, LOL. Anyway, do you guys keep the "Driver Alert" setting on? I've recently turned it off reasoning that I'll turn it on during long trips. Edited October 9, 2013 by KLH
dkegel Report post Posted October 9, 2013 Ours stays on. My wife said she never gets any alerts. I rarely drive the car but the other day on the way somewhere it offered me a cup of coffee. Oops! :) Dave 1 hybridbear reacted to this

acdii Report post Posted October 15, 2013 Turned it off within an hour of owning the first car. Turned it off before I even put it in gear on the current car. I dont need the car to tell me, I have a wife for that! 1 B25Nut reacted to this
Eddie Sessum Report post Posted October 15, 2013 I actually think this was more to be able to say it has it vs actually being a useful option.
KLH Report post Posted October 15, 2013 Supposedly this feature will pop on if the sensors detect being too close or going over the lane markers. I've turned it off for a day or two then turned it back on. It hasn't popped up in a while. If it does, I'll just disable it again... unless I'm driving a long distance. jsolan Report post Posted October 15, 2013 I keep mine on. When I get too involved with MFT or something, it yells at me and reminds me to watch the road more.I thought I had read that it used a camera to track the drivers "focus", which seems more true to me than just staying between the lines. I rarely need to adjust my steering when it goes off, but often times my head/eyes are darting back and forth between the road and the touch screen. On long trips it also goes off automatically if you haven't stopped in a long time, regardless of what I'm doing.
