Weird. Mine says for the months of April-December. Maybe Northern VA or Arlington, VA is different. I've always paid it once a year, who knows.

We also have to pay a $35 city decal tax. Yay taxes!

Each county or independent city sets their own rates and rules (within the confines of VA state code), so YMMV applies to taxes too.

Which is nice, because Montgomery County is about half what you guys are paying up there.

So we just got our renewal bill from the State of MN in the mail today. I had earlier estimated $350 for the 2nd year of ownership for the cost of our license tabs. For 2014 the cost will be $336.25. One positive is that the state appears to allow payments via credit card now without charging a convenience fee if I pay online. If I go to the local office (which is run by the county who then pays the state) the county will charge a 3.5% fee to pay via credit card. At least this means I can get my 1% cash back on this from the credit card! :spend:

That reminds me, plates are due next month on mine. Actually on the Flex since those were the transfers from the BD which was due in Nov. So confused now.
