The only thing i dislike about this car is having to constantly clean the inside of the windshield. Every week or so i get a film on the windshield. Is this the dash degaussing? if so when will it stop? I have owned the car since March.

The worst part is the film, makes the window fog so easy, any slight change in humidity makes the window fog up and it's a mess a night with lights hitting it.

I use invisible glass to clean it and it comes out great but only last 7-10 days and needs to be done again.

Has anyone else had this issue and have you come up with a solution?

I haven't noticed this being any worse than any other new car I have had. I like the product Invisible Glass, it is a great product.

I get this on the inside of my windshield as well. I also use Invisible Glass; I've tried other glass products, but this seems to work best.

I've also had this issue more on my FFH than on any other car I've had. I just use a damp cloth and then a soft, clean cloth combined with a lot of elbow grease and I usually only have to do it once a month. This also applies to the rear window. It would be nice to know the "science" behind why it happens. A clean windshield is soooo important to have that new car look.

I ask the same thing regarding my eyeglasses. If I clean them, and then sit army desk working in the computer, how do they get so dirty?

The windshield of my car fogs real easy also, much worse than any other new car I have owned. I mentioned this on a recent survey that Ford sent me. I have no solutions to offer since I use Invisible Glass also.

I used Rainx anti fog cleaner wipes, did it once and so far all week not a single instance of fogging, before that, every morning it would fog up. Now to do the back window. I think tomorrow may be a detai day for me, depends on my energy level.

I'm trying the Invisible Glass cleaner to see how it works. I tried using Method Glass Cleaner that we have for cleaning our glass coffee tables, mirrors, etc in our apartment and that seems to have only made it worse...

I already tried the Invisible cleaner and I didn't like it at all, but I like their tool for reaching.

These work! I cleaned my front windshield 2 weeks ago and it has not fogged up once. My back window though, many many times, so it is next to be cleaned.

When I drive to work in the morning, I open the sunroof and put the rear windows down 2".

Both my front and rear windows repeatedly fog up. Why? No idea since there is fresh air coming into the vehicle. The rear window defroster clears the rear window up.

I'll put the front defroster on and it will clear up the inside of the window, but after a few minutes, dew forms on the outside of the front windshield that I can only get rid of with the wipers.

Add this to the fact that if I just press the front defroster button to turn it off, somehow the A/C turns on, even though the A/C light is not illuminated. I have to press A/C, Max A/C, then A/C again to turn off the A/C that I never turned on in the first place. Then the fan is set at full blast and I have to manually turn that down.

There is something very quirky with the fogging issues AND how the front defroster - A/C operates.

This is probably the worst windshield for fogging up and having a film residue for no reason. No other car I've driven has even been this bad.

Seems like the interior side of the windshield is plastic and one not really designed to prevent fog. More like one to help deaden sound.

+1 on the residue issue on both windshield and rear window. I have cleaned with paper towel and windex and the paper towel shows a black residue from cleaning. Since both windows are difficult to clean (especially the back) completely, this could be a safety issue when the residue builds up. We have had our Fusion since feb 2013 and have driven 10k miles. Does anyone think that this residue film will surface as a recall item? Does this problem occur on both cloth and leather seat interiors?

I thought it was just me, that back window is especially tough and I bought one of these to get it,

without something like this, not sure how you'd clean it without twisting your neck out....

It's been getting a workout for sure! Does seem unusually tough to deal with.

+1 on the hard to clean. I can usually get my windows really clean inside and out, but these have been the hardest and that damned fogging is terrible. Even using the Rain-x Anti fog wipes doesn't seem to help much. I did finally get my back window cleaned, it still had the marks from the suction cups on it from when it was installed. Why there are on the inside, dont know, but they are gone now.

We've been very impressed with Invisible Glass! It works great on the glass on the FFH and on our glass coffee tables too! We'll definitely be buying more.

I have the same problem too. PITA if you ask me. Nice to know I am not the only one. :( I use rain x window cleaner and it still gets bad in a short time. Rain X on the outside is awesome. Used it for 20+ years.

It might sound a bit crazy but I used ArmorAll interior cleaner a while back and it hasn't fogged up since even under the current fog conditions in the morning.

I totally agree with Osofast that this car is much worse than others I've owned in this regard. It is dangerous when it clouds up and is not easily cleaned off windshield and worse on back glass. FYI, my seats are leather.

Last night I used the handy-reach wand that smr2112 referenced (bought one from Ebay) and the Invisible Glass that hybridbear referenced, and the windshield was crystal clear this morning with zero fogging. Could be that the weather is more cooperative today, but it sure was a nice change -- thanks for the info guys!

Cant say the same for this morning. There is one section of road that for some very odd reason will soak all the windows with dew on the outsides. This morning was the worst, I had to stop because they fogged over so bad on the outside. The inside didnt fog up as bad as I thought it would though, only needed max defrost twice.

I crossed a couple of fronts in my career that caused instant fog over of the entire car exterior crossing from a cool dry area into the moist warm area at turnpike speed and BINGO. Scared me silly the first time it happened.
