I was also putting off getting the update since I was happy with the 44mpg I was getting. I should have read this forum sooner because I got the update last month and my mileage has dropped at least 5mpg. I did a hard reset this weekend but so far it doesn't seem to have changed much. I'm going to try and pressure my dealer and Ford to load the old PCM software in my car or make changes to the existing software.
