Reasons to buy a car

Dude, your old! LOL Just kidding. I'm 48 with a 6 and 8 YO. Also have an 18 YO son who graduates high school next week, so there is ALWAYS a chance of being a Grampa before too long.

For me reliabilty is number one. I'm not very mechanically inclined, and I hate having car trouble. I drive straight through to Florida twice a year, and usually have guests flying in the next day, that I need to tend to. Having unexpected trouble on the road with three small dogs would be very unpleasant. My Camry was getting close to 100,000 miles and still going strong, but I had started to read about some expensive issues some 2007 TCH owners were having.

 

After owning a hybrid for seven years, it was hard to consider anything else, and I consider it very patriotic to do so. So much of the oil we import is from countries who hate us. The car we drive is probably the biggest thing each of us can do to help us break the hold of the OPEC countries. And I believe it is having an impact. Environmental issues are an extra bonus.

 

I am also at the point in my life where I want to splurge a little. I've always thought cars were a terrible investment, so I keep them for a while. In the future I may find myself upgrading more frequently as everything is not about dollars and cents, and life is to be fully enjoyed,

 

Lastly, I am happy to be buying American. In these time of economic uncertainty, it is important to support our economy.
