HyTi Owner's Manual - Same as Gas version?

Recommended Posts

I will apologize before I ask the question, but I could not find any comments on this.

I searched for the Fusion Hybrid Owner's manual in motorcraftservice.com. There are 3 different printings of the manual. I opened the last one. The Title is 2013 Fusion Owner's Manual, it does not say "hybrid", and I could not find a single reference to "electric engine", or the word "hybrid" in the manual. Am I looking at the correct manual?

Nope. Hybrids have their own manual. I went to pull it up on my owner site, but they are unavailable at the moment for some odd reason.

For some reasons direct links don't work. You have to go to http://www.motorcraftservice.com/ - Owner Guides - 2013 - Fusion Hybrid/Energi - Owner Manual 1st Printing. If you select Fusion instead of Fusion Hybrid/Energi you see 3 printings of the manual, but they're all for the gas Fusions, with no mention of the hybrid parts.

Well I'll be, when I tried the link it does come up as the gas one. Let me see if I can download the Hybrid version.

OK the site is all screwed up, It pulls up the exact same manual for the Hybrid and energi and non hybrid cars. All 3 printings are the same. Sorry, I might have it still on my iPad though, but thats at home.

neod192, If I go directly to http://www.motorcraftservice.com/, I'm directed to a subscription page, which apparently is not free.

On the left side, look for Owner Guides under "Non-Subscription Resources". It's 15MB or I would have attached it here.

For some reason, every time I attach something, the file size keeps going down. Is there a limit to how much I can attach to posts? How do I delete old attachments w/out going back through each post?

Thanks Neod192. For some reason I was getting "subscription Required" even when clicking the owner guides link under the Non-subscription Resources. Kept trying until it worked. You only have a 1st printing manual for Fusion hybrid.

Weird! Mine works every time - I think I got that message once. Glad you found it - and yes, I also only see one version.

The links at owner.ford.com are now correct for the FFH. They even have an HTML manual if you don't like PDFs. It took them 5 or 6 months to get any links at all there, then they got them totally crisscrossed. Now, 8 months into the 2013 MY, they're valid for the first time.

Close but no cigar.

They still don't have the right link for the Energi.

Well, I said the Fusion Hybrid, not the Fusion Energi. However, I note that on that page, they do have links to the Quick Reference Guide for both the FFH and the Energi. Isn't there a separate Web page for the Energi?

I'm still claiming the cigar ;)

Energi is covered in the Hybrid manual. At least the manual I had also included Energi.

That's true, come to think of it. There were several sections I had to skip over in the Hybrid manual because they pertained to the Energi, rather than the standard Hybrid, so the links on the Hybrid page are now complete and correct. As mentioned, the Quick Reference Guide for the Hybrid and the Energi ARE different, and there are links for both.
