Send a Review to Edmunds

Recommended Posts

For more than two weeks now, Fynack's review of the FFH is the first one that shows on Edmunds' site. We need more owners from here to write their honest review so that his is not the first one potential buyers see.

I would love to write a glowing review, but as I havn't even gotten a VIN yet I guess I will have to wait.

heheh, um, pass, for now.

You already posted a review on Edmunds, Acdii. I just noticed that Fynack has two reviews on that Edmunds site, which I'm sure is against their rules.

oh I did? Don't remember that. If it was bad, then it must have been one of my I hate this car days.

Djm & Darrel - Thank you for the reviews that the FFH deserves. Both are honest and will have a positive impact on potential buyers.

I just checked out the edmunds page, and there are a total of 19 reviews, mine is at the TOP OF THE PAGE! :worship:The overall consumer rating is 4.5 starts of out of 5, so Fynack isn't going to have too negative an impact overall.

The thing that puzzles me is how many people have the same criticism, even when they give the FFH 4 or 5 stars - they aren't coming close to the EPA mileage figures. I drive a little over 30 miles each way to work each day, a mix of about 75% highway, 25% city, sometimes the traffic is clear and sometimes it is bumper-to-bumper. I consistently am getting approximately 45+ mpg on each trip. The attached picture is my trip to work from this morning. I know it's not the norm, but there is also a pic in my gallery of a 1.2 miles trip that netted me 114 mpg!

Is it possible that some of the cars are built differently than others? I can't believe that I can get these figures really easily, and others can't even approach them. As I had mentioned in a prior post, I live in South Florida, so we don't really have winter here - the coldest temps we got this year were low 50's, and those have been rare. Most of my driving so far has been in 70+ degrees, so the EV kicks in the minute I start the car. I'm curious to see how folks like acdii fare when spring makes it's way to him, maybe that will improve his figures? Just a thought...

It appears cold has a greater impact on this particular car than any other Hybrid built so far. When you consider less than 10% cold losses on the 2010 FFH and up to 30% cold losses on the 2013, there will be more complaints.

I think what Ford has to do is have an actual in writing disclaimer that this car and the Cmax is affected by cold weather much more so than the prior Hybrid, fewer people then will complain.

Wow, Code Warrior, 49mpg on only 3 fill-ups? That's amazing! Mine is climbing in baby steps, I filled up today at 44.5mpg, my overall average is up to 42.2. I'm taking a one-day road trip tomorrow, about 300 miles roundtrip. Hopefully, I'll do well on that and my average will get to 43.

I guess I just got lucky. I do have the warm weather that seems to help.

A/C season will reduce the mileage but right now I consistently get over 50 MPG on trips of 5 to 50 miles mostly city but an occasional 65 MPH stretch.

I did my one-day road trip from Fort Lauderdale, FL to Cape Coral, FL (about 40 miles North of Naples, FL). Round trip was approximately 280 miles. The trip out I kept it under 65 mph, and I got 49.6 mpg; the trip home, I was in a bit more of a hurry, I did 70-75 mpg the whole way and got 43.8. Since this trip was about 80% highway, I am impressed with these figures. Granted, the city portions did bump the number up a bit, but not by much. It was a perfect FL day, about 80 degrees outbound, about 74 degrees on the return, A/C was running 100% of the time.

Very nice! I have a home in Cape Coral and drive there from Houston twice a year. I'm hoping I get my new car before my April trip.

You are keeping my hopes up that the one on order will be as good!

So is Ford helping you out by replacing your lemon?

Nope, Ford has a stick up their butt, and they are just ignoring me now. However, I still like the car enough to give it a second chance.

Wow, I am not sure if I would give Ford another try if I had a bad experience that you are having. Well, I really hope that you get the normal one this time!

I would give too much up going to a Camry, and an Avalon which is equal to the Fusion is 8K more. Besides, the HyTi is the car I really wanted from the beginning, but did not know they were actually going to build them until after I bought this one. The hardest part is not being able to drive the one I have now until the new one arrives. Relegated to 100 miles a week or less. Hoping it comes in under 12 weeks.

It appears tha Fy*** has changed his name on Edmunds (or it's his clone) and posted a bad review on Edmunds which is the first potential buyers see. He says the FFH is a waste of money. So,. we need someone else to write a review to move his off the top spot.

I just did too. Should appear relatively soon. Thanks B25Nut for keeping on top of :baby: and his crusade against the FFH
