Fusion Hybrid SE build dates to avoid

Anyone pin down any date range to avoid - that have been problematic?

 

If the Ti builds keeps getting ignored - may opt for an SE model ...

My build date was 11-3-12. I have had no problems and my lifetime average is just shy of 45 mpg.

Avoid those built the week prior to DEECEE! There are a few of us with cars built the last week of October that are getting poor MPG.

Mine was built 11/17 and everything works, including the 3;5;1 MTF. The dealer has not had to repair anything. No leaks, trunk alignment is great, gas mileage is great, ACC and Bliss is ok, not issues with remote start, lane keeping and the options that go along with all work fine.

 

It appears that 11/17 was a great build date. With my 2010 I had major issues and the car was in the dealer many times to get things fixed. Not the case this time.

 

I'm think about buying another 2013 Fusion and trading in my 2010.

Not yet .... but thinking of going the way of Jeffh and Elle ( and sorta akirby, though he never pulled the trigger on a Ti order). Also considering the Energi Ti. Though my natural inclination is away from the plug in [and I want to send the business to my dealer (not sure when they will be Energi certified)].

 

I still favor the Ti trim with the options not available in the SE.

 

Arguing for the SE is interior and wheel choices one isn't afforded with the Ti. Like that I can get Dune leather and wheels other than the starburst, bicycle inspired set.

 

If they still aren't scheduling any builds within the next several weeks ... we'll see.

 

Really boils down to the Sony with 12 speaker, push button start, intelligent access vs the interior and wheel options. Oh yea - can get one within the next week or two and the other who knows.

 

Frustrated enough with the asinine way Ford treats its customers that I have been considering other makes again.

I have to wonder how much cold weather and short trips are a factor on our MPG, my build date was 12/11/12.

Cold and short both have a HUGE impact on mine. Anything under 10 miles doesn't even touch 29 MPG. My car doesn't go over 30 MPG until I am halfway to work, which is about 15 miles.
