Dual Exhaust on Titanium???

When I priced out my car to the HyTi with same features except the park assist, difference in price was $505. Apples to apples, 18" wheel package, ACC, Drivers tech, luxury package, vs HyTi, ACC, Drivers tech.

I will be contacting my dealer as soon as they open today to see if Dune Leather is really available for the Hybrid Titanium as the new brochure indicates, If so I will be changing my order to dune I will post my findings later today.

In that new brochure it also says that on the Titanium Hybrid you have the choice of Dune or Charcoal interior... That's not the case when you go to order the car.

 

Frankly, the dual exhaust on a Hybrid is just for looks, I'd rather hide the exhaust like other manufacturers do on the Hybrid cars.

Talked with my dealer this morning and he entered Fords ordering system and dune leather was not shown as an option!

so.. I directed him to the brochure on Fords website and to the specific page where dune leather is stated as standard on the fusion titanium and and Energi, but it also says black leather is standard on the titanium and Energi.

 

He will run it up the flagpole and find out, but he strongly suspects a misprint, so Maybe the dual exhaust issue is also wrong.

The dual exhaust was never mentioned in the press release of the titanium hybrid and does not show up on dealers' equipment list for a titanium hybrid. I'm pretty sure it's a goner.

I got it from a dealer. It listed the additional stuff you get with the titanium hybrid.

It was dated October of last year. I don't have it with me right now. It's at home.

This looks like the ipad App I downloaded a few days ago. And when you hit Build & price, it just takes you to Ford website, which has not been updated.

It gives more info than the Ford website app and shows dual integrated exhaust as part of the titanium.

The sync app for iPhone or iPad lets all of us get familiar with sync before we get our cars very cool!

That's just it, the infomation is conflicting.

 

We have two pieces of information (original brochure and ipad app) that show dual exhausts.

 

We have three pieces of information (newest brochure, dealer ordering guide, and press release) that do not mention the dual exhausts.

 

If I was a betting man, I would bet the latest brochure is the correct one. As much as I want them, it doesn't make much sense to have the dual exhausts on a hybrid. Toyota did not add it to the Limited Avalon Hybrid either. We will soon find out for sure, though.

I agree. My dealer also said the ordering guide is the only reliable source and that we shouldn't trust brochures...

The issue is the order guide doesn't specify one way or the other as best I have heard.

 

That being said I think it will come with one.

The Ford build site has it with only a single chrome tipped exhaust. Same as the Hybrid SE models.

Page 20 clearly shows that the Titanium models only have Black interior as an option.

Maybe they do it to keep the competition at bay, maybe it's because they're always changing and adjusting things or maybe there are just "too many cooks in the kitchen" as they say...

 

All in all none of it matters, unless it's what is causing the delay to Job 2. If that's the case, I certainly hope those of use to got orders in early have a chance to make adjustments, if they do decide to open things up...

I take it that the brochure with the ENERGI name on the cover is the newer one since the original didn't have it. Well, the key is in getting notified that ANY Hybrid Titanium has been scheduled. I hope whomever gets a date let's us know right away so we can check our orders as well.

I saw the Hybrid Titanium yesterday at the MotorTrend Auto Show in Baltimore. The dual exhaust only comes in the top O' the Line gas engine model. The Titanium looks so great with a sculpted pair of chrome exhaust ports. It's really too bad that they go with a single chrome round pipe on the other Titanium models - real let down!

That's a nice looking Hybrid SE w/ premium wheels. Would look even better with dual integrated exhaust!

It could be the dual outlets muck up the exhaust flow on the hybrid engine. I can't see any other reason for not offering them.
