Easy Rider Report post Posted November 30, 2014 (edited) It sure would be nice to have a DELETE option available for ones own posts. I bet that will get "fixed" about as soon as the bug being discussed with the radio does. Likely never for both. Easy Rider Report post Posted December 1, 2014 We're here to please, just mention 'Delete this Post' and it will happen. ;)Yes, thank you.But......if the problem IS that I realize immediately after hitting "post" that what I said was REALLY dumb or inappropriate.......I have to go back and edit it anyway and at that point a delete button would save everybody a lot of time and hassle. I don't understand the logic that thinks it would be a bad thing to have.Other forums lock it in after XX minutes or after a subsequent post is made. Easy Rider Report post Posted February 3, 2015 The radio will switch from surround to stereo when you press the mute button or press the voice command button. If it is the first time since starting the car, it won't switch back when unmuting or exiting voice command mode. Set the radio back to surround and now it will switch back to surround on unmute or voice command exit (until the next time you start the car).Still broken. I hoped that the latest Sync update would fix this but it did NOT. Which company rep. on here should this be referred to ? There are two fairly detailed descriptions on here about how that can fail but I don't think I do ANY of that stuff and mine still goes back to "stereo" seemingly at random. FordIVTteam Report post Posted February 4, 2015 Hi everyone, Have any of you brought this up to your dealer so they can diagnose this? If not, I suggest doing so. They'll also be able to contact their support if needed. Rebecca

This is not something I would take a day off work for, to spend time sitting in a dealer's waiting room, only to have them not know anything (which is quite likely). You need to document this bug so that the MFT developers can decide if they're going to allocate resources to fixing it. Asking us to go to the dealer is very poor customer service because it accomplishes nothing, wastes our time & wastes Ford's money having to pay the dealer for warranty work when you could just document the issue in a few minutes and save Ford some money. Isn't that the whole point of having reps online? To help Ford improve customer service? Easy Rider Report post Posted February 5, 2015 I understand your frustration. This is not something I would take a day off work for, to spend time sitting in a dealer's waiting room, only to have them not know anything (which is quite likely).I have been a Master Electronics Technician for about 50 years now.Given the number of owners here who are reporting exactly the same thing, it's a pretty safe bet that it is a software design flaw and that there IS NO fix available.Looking for a fix that doesn't exist is a fools errand. If it was a more important item, I would jump through all the hoops in hopes that the dealer would escalate it to an engineering department that cares.I say "hope" because even if they tell you that was done, how do you know for sure ?? The stinky AC case is the only one EVER where I have heard the owner got some information back from the Corporate offices..........and that was in Canada. lolder Report post Posted February 6, 2015 The car companies have a long way to go in understanding how much aftermarket software support they should offer. My otherwise perfect 2010 FFH has an outside temperature display that will usually not increase until the car is driven over 25 mph for 90 seconds continuously. This is to prevent abnormally high readings caused by a warm engine. In my small town in the summertime, the car outside temperature display reads ~ 75, the night time garage temperature, all day when the outside temperature goes over 90. Ford is completely uninterested in fixing the 70,000 Ford, Lincoln and Mercury's of this generation.
FordIVTteam Report post Posted February 15, 2015 Hey everybody, Like Rebecca mentioned, your dealership is in the best position to help with this type of concern. If you'd like to report that this is happening to your vehicle, send me a PM with your full name, VIN, phone number, and current mileage. I'll pass along your feedback. Be sure to include specific details about your experience in your PM so I can be clear in my notes. Kim

hybridbear Report post Posted May 21, 2015 Someone recently thought it was fixed in an APIM update. I recently had a bunch of updates done at the dealer and this has not been fixed. It's especially noticeable if switching between Sirius and FM radio.
hybridbear Report post Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) I hoped that maybe this would be fixed in a newer FCIM calibration. Sadly this doesn't appear to be true. We had a new FCIM installed & this issue still exists. Edited May 30, 2015 by hybridbear
Cobra348 Report post Posted June 1, 2015 I hoped that maybe this would be fixed in a newer FCIM calibration. Sadly this doesn't appear to be true. We had a new FCIM installed & this issue still exists. My '15 has this issue as well. It bugs me because I would like to set it and forget it. As pointed out taking it to the dealer wastes time and money ... it needs a programmer to correct it - preferably not the one that borked it. 1 hybridbear reacted to this
threed Report post Posted August 19, 2015 Yep another wonderful MFT bug. Mine does it too since day 1. It keeps changing back to stereo typically after the engine is shut off then restarted. It's not a default setting as it sometimes does not change back.
