I think we can install ext. temp. on fusion SE ( there is photo ) !!

Hi

 

While i am trying to find a solution for external temperature, a friend told me something

 

make radio on and run FM

press 6 & 3 together and hold for few seconds

you will hear noise sounds

during that press 5 then that picture will appear

that is picture of fusion 2010 SE

 

What is your opinions ?? Is it possible the activate ext. temp. ????

Yes, the spot is there. They use the same screens in all the cars (execpt navigation), you just have to install the sensor and get it activated by the dealer.

Have you had this done? I thought the electronics weren't in the radio for this.

"Hello there, I work for Ford Climate supplier for the 2010 Fusion, MKZ and Milan models and trust me, it is not possible to get OAT (outside ambient temperature) display just because the climate control head is not designed to (no sensor connector or SW exists on this model), the only sensor this climate module have is EVAP (evaporator sensor located inside the HEBA) in order to avoid any HEBA freezing to occur."

So what electronics are going to convert the sensor signal into a number to be displayed?
