xmech2k Report post Posted September 13, 2010 Well, I dug WAY deep looking for the wiper blade post where I said I got Rain-X Latitude blades and would see how they will perform. I was sufferring, like many, the chattering passenger side wiper blade syndrome. I couldn't find that first posting, so here's a new one. Anyways, I figured I'd try the Latitudes, even though I don't really care for the looks much. Well, the chatter problem was solved, but the driver's side one had a blank in the wipe of about 2" near the outer edge. This continued even after I flipped it around. They also streaked a lot even with cleaning. Very dissappointed... :waiting: The design is supposed to give even pressure along the blade to prevent blank spots. So 2 weeks ago, I got the cheap-o no-name brand off O'Reilly's shelf, and so far they are great. No blank spots or streaking. Haven't got any rain yet, though. (SoCal..) So, I have to give the Latitude a thumbs down.

jimbean95 Report post Posted September 14, 2010 I've used Trico Neoform for over a year. No missed places, no streaking and no chattering. I have always used Bosch Icon's on my vehicles. Never had a problem with them. I usually get 2 yrs out of them. The trick is cleaning off the rubber in the blade with glass cleaner. Road grim, tree sap and bird poop will make the blade not perform well. Also for the states that receive Snow and Ice. Clean off with your gloves. Turning them on with ice build up will pull off the rubber off the blade......I have Bosch on all three of the vehicle's and no problems....
xmech2k Report post Posted October 1, 2010 Just another report. It's unannounced thunderstorms in San Diego today. (Worse than the worst blizzard in Chicago, as far as the accidents here.... don't get me started.) Anyways, the no-name wipers are still working great, and now I got to use them in everything from light road mist to torrential downpour today. No chattering, squeaking, streaking. No-name wiper blades all the way!!!!!
Fuze-ion Report post Posted October 4, 2010 I'm on the East Coast and we don't have O'Reilly's in VA. I'm sure they really aren't no names, there are made by Trico or Anco, and just packaged with the O'Reilly's name. If you really go back to the store, I'm sure you will see that they look just like one of the other brands.
xmech2k Report post Posted October 5, 2010 Yep, but they cost less than the ones with a name on them!
2010SEL Report post Posted October 6, 2010 Another vote here for Bosch Icon blades. Work great all year round.
FarmingtonDave Report post Posted November 20, 2010 I've had good luck with the Goodyear blades sold at Costco. They have the same design as the RainX and others that are supposed to be free of pressure spot, but aren't too bad on price.
