xmech2k Report post Posted October 7, 2009 I hate how the dome lights come on whenever you turn off the car. (2010 SE) I'd like them to only come on when I open the door, or manually with the dimmer. Anyone know how to reprogram them? I looked through the manual twice but didn't see anything. Funny thing is, I could swear there were 2 occassions when they did not come on, but I can't remember if I did something like a certain sequence with the parking brake or something. Is it possible the Fusion does the same?

xmech2k Report post Posted October 7, 2009 No, it still comes on during the day. I bet your wife's Caddy has auto-headlights, with a light sensor somewhere? I'm pretty sure at least my Fusion doesn't have one, and I haven't heard of any model or option with auto headlights, so I don't think that's the case. (Well, I guess there are light sensors for the auto-dimming mirror.) I wouldn't care in the daylight. Actually, you'd think this would kind of be a security thing. Somebody pulls into an unknown dark area, stops, shuts off her car, then BING_BING_BING! LOOK AT ME! I'M ALL BY MYSELF HERE IN THIS CAR IN THIS DARK PLACE!!!!! This'll probably have to wait until I go in for my first service, and see if the service rep gives enough of a .... you know, to look into it. But Hopefully someone here will know. Thanks for checking though.
