royroddey Report post Posted September 24, 2009 Got a new 2010 Fusion Sport FWD (and really like it!). Looking to hardwire my Valentine 1 radar detector so it powers on/off with the key. Only fuse box I know of is in the engine compartment. Is there one in the cab of the car that I can tap into? thanks for any help.

Hi royroddey. :D Yes, there is also a passenger compartment fuse box. Check your Owners Manual for the fuse box location drawings and fuse usage charts. Look in the Index under "Fuses". Good luck. :beerchug:
Slip Report post Posted September 25, 2009 Awesome idea! Make sure you use a spare spot that ins't being used. You wouldn't believe how many vehicles I see where someone tapped into a dedicated fuse and then they are wondering why they have electrical problems. Like I said just beware because they did a good job of hiding it away...maybe they should have made the panel cover orange or something!!!...that would have been nice!...LOL Edited March 16, 2010 by firebuff312
