SEL clock light

The bulb behind my 06 SEL's analog clock is out. I think that the black plastic frame around the stereo, clock and info buttons is just clipped in, and can be removed easily, but I don't want to break it. Anyone taken theirs apart before? Is it easy?

Hi fireguy. :D You are correct, The face plate is simply fastened with spring clips.

 

Start at the bottom and get your fingers behind the face plate and gently pry it away from the dash. Then work up the sides using the same method.

 

There are some electrical connections, so once you have all four sides loose make sure you release them before pulling it completely away.

I'm in the middle of doing the same replacement. Bezel came off my 06 just fine, but hte bulb is $11 at the dealers! Anyone know the specs on that bulb? I'd love to source it elsewhere. BD
