Blacked Out Head/Tail Lights + Black Grille

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Just picked up a 2007 Ford Fusion SEL.

I am wanting to make my car look exactly like this

(HeadLights/TailLights/Grill/Black Ford Logo)

Anyone know where to go to purchase the parts?

Thanks in advance.

It looks like all he did was spray the grille with a rattle can, if you look closely the ford emblem is still there. As far as the head and taillights you can go to your local auto parts store, buy the head and taillight spray paint and follow the directions. I will be doing my taillights next weekend.

You should check out Lamin-x. It thicker and more resilient than vinyl from what I've heard. I'll be getting tail and head light covers for my 2010 soon enough.

You should be able to buy a "black Grill" direct from Ford Parts as they now offer an optional body color grill in one of their packages. Since the car is made and offered in Black (metallic) so will the grill then. It would have to be available as an after collision repair part. Don't know if the Ford Emblem will be changed on it though, likely not.

You can see the grill here:

Patriodecals.com has great ford emblems. i got the black background with standard chrome ford lettering. Headlightarmor.com has great headlight/tail light tints. i've used both and they look really good.

Check your local laws before you do them though. It would suck to go through the time and expense tinting them, then get pulled over, ticketed, fined and told to put them back to OEM, which would probably mean replacing them. A friend of mine tinted his Stang tail lights and head lights, got pulled over by State who was following him at night, the lights were too dim to be clearly seen from a specified distance, by the time he was done, the $100 tints cost him $800 for replacing the lights, and another $300 in fines. I considered doing my Sport, but after hearing that, thought, not worth it, plus I live out in the middle of country, where the roads are very dark, I need all the light I can get out of the headlights I can, in fact looking for some HID's to upgrade to.
