any1 looking to buy a slighty used FFH?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I am toying with the idea of selling my FFH. I love it and its killing me to even think about it. But I just moved to Michigan and I am buying a house with land and starting a business. I now am finding a need for a big truck. I could get one and keep the FFH but then I have 2 payments and that does not make sense. I have the Tri-coat white, with black leather 502a with remote start. It has 6K on it. I bought it in LA drove to texas then to Michigan and then back. Poor car has really been moving. Its getting really good mileage. I am recording about 40-41 mpg mostly highway at 70mph plus. Anyway I was looking for 30K just to pay it off. If anyone has any interest let me know. thanks!

You may have better luck if you try to not sell a car with 6k mi on it that you can buy new for the same price.... (order mine with all of those options but black and am paying 29950)

I hear what you are saying but not everyone is getting the price you are getting. I have already had one dealer offer me 29.5K because they can't even get one. So If someone is interested they can always make an offer.

30 grand for a car that has 6000 miles on it - no way thats near MSRP ! - ya may find someone with like new Super Duty that will trade with you :redcard:

Your car lost value by thousands of dollars the instant you drove it off the lot because there hundreds of dealers that'll outsell/outfinance a buyer looking for a similar car.

MSRP for my car is $34200. Anyway I am not going to argue. All I am doing is putting it out there. If someone who does not want to order one and wait 2-3 months might make an offer. If a dealer is willing to pay me $29K that has got to say something.

I am all for people trying to get a fair deal when selling items... but I am sorry, no sympathy when the facts don't match. The most expensive one I can build on ford.com is 32855 (after dest charges). If there is something I am missing, let me know.

Ok, sorry to go off topic, but seriously, starting a business in Michigan !!?? I hope it's some kind of Internet business because Michigan's economy is going to be crap for a long time.

If a dealer is offering 29K, you should take it. I paid 29782 on an Xplan 502a package with every possible option. No offense intended, but to get what you are asking on an car with 6000 miles, you are being unrealistic. I am surprised a dealer would give you 29K. Take it!

Actually I am taking it. They say they are happy to get it because they can't even get one from the factory. Seems like some people are getting deals. I paid x-plan so I am hardly losing much. As far as the business goes, its a studio rental business for transportation. Michigan is giving the biggest tax breaks of any state and the productions are lining up to come here and film. When they use a michigan based company then they get even more tax credit. So it should work out good. We already have reservations for equipment.

If you got X plan with the tax rebates you could be making money? It was at least 3K?

Maybe, but you would alienate the person who Granted you the X plan. They are limited in the # of X plans they can do a year. I want to ask my friend to do another X plan in the future.

I did get x-plan. so its not a bad deal. I got it thru my union so no worries on hurting anyones feelings. They will be happy I am buying another ford anyway.

Well its gone. Final number was 28K. Paid 30K so with the $1700 tax credit I'm all good. Thanks for all the comments. And I did not even have to make my first payment! :)

Hi cngrevolution. :D You could have one small problem in the future, if you should ever decide to use the X-Plan again.

According to Plan rules, a vehicle purchased under the X-Plan must be kept in the X-Plan buyers name for a minimum of six months from the date of purchase.

Copied and pasted from the AXZ-Plan website:

* Titling eligibility is as follows:

* Vehicles must be retained in the customer's possession and registered as provided above for at least six months from the date of purchase or lease.

Obviously, you have now broken that rule. Naturally, a failure to follow X-Plan rules can result in a termination of further X-Plan privileges.

I am not saying this will necessarily occur, as Ford may not even catch the infraction. However, you should be aware just in case.

Good luck. :beerchug:
