Rust on inside of Door?

Took my car in for service the other day (2014 FFH) and mentioned there was Rust on the inside of the door (see photo). Was basically told this isn't an issue and would take an act of God for Ford to do anything. I'm assuming it will only get worse? Should I continue to bug them or is it not really an issue since its not a viable area unless the door is open.

Doesn't look like too much of a problem. Maybe a little sanding and some touch-up paint might mitigate the issue.

I'd try a little rubbing compound on it to clean the rust away, then seal it with a couple coats of touch up paint. Then keep an eye on it and repeat when it comes back.

If the car is within your 3/36 period.

I would ask to have it repaired under warranty.

 

 

After that only rust through warranty will be repaired. Even with a ESP warranty.

Rust is covered under the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty if its a factory defect, no previous body damage.

If its rusted through and has holes, its covered for 5 years.

Had some surface rust also. So I just sanded them and then paint.

Hmm just goes to show you how cheap Ford has really gotten... mine is rusting too, just 5 years old. I've never seen a toyota with rust that early.

Never looked at the frame of a Toyota Tundra?

No. I've looked at my friends Toyota Camry from 1982 and its still rust free...America and Ford in general has done it to them selves, so much Ford had to leave Japan completely. An entire country of people know's what a piece of ***it cars Ford makes.

 

I've had 13 problems with my piece of s*** Ford. Wasn't even first model year!.
