  1. A little late to this thread, but, just changed the tires on my 2010 fusion, purchased in the fall of 2009. Plenty of tread, a bit over 30k miles. But, serious dry rot. Temperature, moisture, lack of moisture, and UV, all will age tires even if you don’t drive on them. Leave a set of nice tires out in the sun and weather on your back deck for 10 years, they will become worthless, with zero miles on them. never forget what connects your car to the road is tires. Without tires, you cannot go, or stop, or turn. And never forget that your FFH has no spare tire.
  2. We have one of the 1st 2nd generation FFH. Picked it up Christmas Eve, 2012. Special ordered in September, Ford delayed due to faulty body panel stamping dies, requiring Ford to rent some mega jumbo Russian cargo plane to fly replacements to Hermosillo. It was worth the wait. Awesome car. 131,392 miles. Battery is just fine.
  3. Huh. Check you exhaust. Might be something as silly as a loose heat shield around the catalytic converter. There are stories of doom and gloom, like transmission problems. They are true, but rare. If your car works, you don’t spend your life posting on Internet forums. Our 2013 is near 130k miles and runs like new. Let us know what you find! Hopefully something simple!
  4. Really? Feeling throttle vibrations? The throttle is connected to a computer.
  5. Do we know of anyone who needed battery replacement? I don’t know of any.
  6. 9+ years on the original bulbs. Still fine. No reason to look.
  7. ??? A well done steak is 150f. You can notice a difference between 180 and 190?
  8. Advance Auto had a battery for my 2013 FFH on the shelf, and installed it for free.
  9. Run away indeed. To another dealer!
  10. Nice indeed. Got our ‘13 days before Xmas 2012. Tires, cabin air filter, oil when the dash complains. Still good as new. 110k miles on the original brakes???? Crazy!!! love it to bits. Happiness here. Easily the best car this old fart ever bought by far.
  11. Hmm. Symptoms is bad MPGs in the city. So... Fuel injector cleaner? Fuel injectors are only used in city driving? (Never mind that the car is a 2019 hybrid where the engine isn't running 1/2 the time...) Non LRR tires? City driving? Highway driving, maybe. City, I kinda doubt it. Symptom is compared to a 2015 in the same driving conditions. I'd pull the battery and give the car a good cold boot. I would also do some hand math on mileage. Just because the computer says 35 doesn't mean that is true.
  12. And, PT doesn't own a Ford Fusion Hybrid. He has, however, seen them on TV and in parking lots.
  13. Driving Explorers and F150s to keep bragging rights on MPGs on a hybrid dashboard, suggests little if any concern for what we all breathe.
